I couldn't pick Patterson to win, I just can't say I'd be that shocked. Floyd has all the attributes to win but chin, strength, and length. I was just commenting on how that could actually be a style that Vitali has difficulty with.

It was, but Vitali would've done the same job. :yep

Yeah, a Old Holyfield at age 38 won 5 rounds in the highly competitive rematch with Peak Lewis, but he couldn't possibly beat Vitali Peak-for-Peak. :nut

That's an unusual opinion for a huge fan of Lewis. :blood

I mean, you're essentially downgrading the H2H value of Lennox's best win, unless you think 38 year old Holy was better than Peak VK...

Is all this Vitali beating Ali ****, influenced by his recent outing against Derek Chisora?

Do you believe the same of the Clay and Ali that Liston faced or was this ability of taking an opponent out of his comfort zone culled over time and really exhibited in the 1970's?

    Fair enough.

But surely Vitali would still rate as Lennox's 2nd best win, even in your opinion?

lol. HOW ABOUT WE DO VICE-VERSA and have Liston against Vitali's opposition???

Vitali so far hasnt fought some1 the caliber of Eddie Machen. Cleveland Williams would give Vitali a great fight, if not knocking him down and stunning him. If Corrie Sanders, Byrd, and an old L-L can trouble and Beat Vitali, then of course I would expect Ali, Folley, DeJohn, and Martin and Patterson to heavily trouble him. Ali would definitely beat him, Folley would have a good chance imo, and Patterson would def beat him.

When taking into account manner of victory, probably not.

Vitali's best wins in his 'prime'; Williams, Sanders and Hide. And he's looked **** since he came back. Sorry, but I just don't rate the guy.

Mike DeJohn was a big, masculine fellow cut from the old cloth who would destroy Vitali like he did Billy Daniels. Ten times out five.

I don't see Vitali beating a single Liston opponent after 1954.
