Which fight had the socks excuse, vs Marquez 1?

For vs Morales 1 it was blood being withdrawn and not being able to wear reyes gloves.

i also thought this fight would be an easy one for him since jmm was too small and looking like his best days r gone. he surprised a lot of people with his performance. a lot of people thought pac would dominate him

I have to be honest here.I shared similar fears although my prediction went along the lines of;"I'm worried for Marquez but you can never write a warrior off"
Happy to put my hands up on this.Marquez was fabulous on the night.

Does Manny always have excuses? Just admit Marquez gives you problems. He blamed the Mosley performance on cramps. Blamed the Morales fight on socks, gloves and blood tests. He also blamed Marquez 2 on cramps. Quit making excuses.

At first I did think Pacman would underestimate him believing the loads of hype his camp and followers throw at him, but no one knows Pac better than Roach. Even having Pacman at his best wasn't enough to beat Jmm clearly Pacman was supposed to be so great Marquez wasn't supposed to last 4. This was a Pacman that was focused and wanted to settle this once and for all. The problem wasn't them underestimating Marquez it was overestimating Pacman.

There's always an excuse or six ready.

Anyone remember comments from Roach and Ariza during Camp, saying Pacquaio was training with ferocious intensity, to finally settle the score and shut Marquez up?

The fact is that these two were made for eachother, and it would be close if they fought a hundred times, there's really no shame in that. Marquez is an ATG fighter in his own right.

if this is true, he's almost as stupid and air-headed as his fans make him out to be in order to excuse him from any responsibility

yea but the "dignified" emmanuel is embarrassed by getting his AZZ schooled by a 40 year old lightweight
