As reported by Steve Kim from MaxBoxing.

"Looks like Kelly Pavlik vs. chitlin' circuit vet Scott Sigmon on Rios/Gamboa undercard."

Now... who the hell is Scott Sigmon? He's a SMW journeyman. No idea about the weight, but lots of Pavlik fans have called for 160 again.

Actually, Sigmon lost a decision to Jessie Nicklow, the man who got starched by shot comebacking Taylor. :good

its probably a good idea for pavlik to fight a guy like this for his first comeback fight.

Agreed. May he look like '07 Pavlik doing it.

but he cant spend too much time fighting lower level opposotion because hes getting up there in age. i expect him to be active with his new team. garcia prolly going to keep him active so he stays focused and doesnt go back to his old ways.

Can't wait to see if the hiring of a nutritionist can level him down to 160. He's a bit older now, might be a natural SMW after all.

But yeah, he'll need to face a top 15 MW/SMW after this.

Even if the nutritionist can't get him down to 160 he will be healthier. I can't wait to see how good Pavlik can be if he is serious also.

Jack Loew said in the last interveiw I saw with him that its been an absoulte joke getting Pavlik to train since he won the Championship. He also said they have alcohol and cigaretts in Calafiornia same as Yongstown.

dont really care what he faces in his first fight as long as he isnt in over his head and facing like Ward or something like that or Martinez

truthfully i thought he kicked Alfonso Lopez's ass but that was yr or so ago shame he got back off track

he would have destroyed that Cunningham dude that Dirrel is getting all this praise for beating

    ...who? WTF??? :blood

Even Taylor's comeback opponent coming off a two year layoff and two consecutive brutal KO losses was less ridiculous than this.

**** opponent, it's nothing more than glorified sparring for Pavlik. As long as he fights again soon after I'm okay with it.

Pretty weak opponent but its his first fight in almost a year and off-tv so I guess its an ok fight, its good for him to just get some rounds in. I wouldn't be surprised if he turns around a couple months after this and fights on the Pacquaio-Bradley card but this time against a much higher level opponent.

coming from rehab, not even knowing if he still wants to box...pavlik has to many "uncleared" issues to even think about boxing, alot of you are still thinking of pavlik of old, those days are long gone my friends....i have scott actually stoping him in 8-9, or pavlik quiting in his stool.
