The only real chance Gamboa has is to hurt Rios early...

Yes agreed Rios is a top inside fighter as I said ...But do you honestly think Gamboa is going to fight him on the inside given his huge speed and footwork advantage ??? No neither do I ...

You say Gamboa has struggled to make a dent on similar fighters to Rios ??....such as who ... dont make statements if you cant back up with fact !

Gamboa is a pro athelete in his prime ... with the correct diet and training he will be looking solid at 135 ... and Rios failed to make weight against Murray and has employed a dietician to help him scrub up for the weigh in . Putting condition on is alot easier than keeping condition off !

No offense or anything, but this is fanboy-ism at it's best. When you have Gamboa's speed and skillset, the ability to hurt your opponent can become irrelevant. Amongst countless others, Floyd Mayweather has faced many opponents he couldn't physically hurt and yet won convincingly. It's not as simple as saying 'If you can't hurt this guy, you can't beat him'.

Oh my, these people thinking Rios is unbeatable are in for the biggest shock of their life. Just take a look at my avatar and tell me what do you see? A Cuban Cyclone crossing the sea coming to demolish everything in it's path!

The Cuban Bon Bon smashes Bam Bam Rios. ;)

People here really have no respect for pressure fighters it seems...All you delusional Gamboa fans (im a fan of the guy, but not a delusional one) will be up for a rude awakening at the night of the fight.

    Rios TKO8.

Flatlander, I know you like Rios.. but aren't you a boxing trainer?

It's ****ing obvious Gamboa can use his speed and experience and circle away from danger all night long, at least that's a very likely option.

Rios will be weight drained again and try to KO Gamboa early but he'll punch himself out and Gamboa will get the TKO late. You heard it here first, folks.

Timing/counterpunching > speed and Rios is one of the best at it.

I don't think so this time. Brandon's weight is coming down nicely without starvation.

You basically said that Rios is a walk forward punching bag !!! , now your going back on what you said

Gamboa went life and death with Johnathon Victor Barros and Orlando Salido , two average fighters in comparison to Rios , and that wasnt that long ago , they are just examples , and thats @126

Im not saying Gamboa isnt in his prime ??? , where did i say that , i merely pointed out that Oscar and Margo are / were shot to **** and comparing them to Rios is simply incomprehendable , as is comparing Gamboa to Pacquiao !!!

If you knew anything about nutrition and sports science , you'd know Rios is at about 10 - 12% body fat , now i know a mans physique doesnt always tell a tale , but lack of muscle defenition and body fat is an indication of a mans diet , something Rios has admitted he's never really been great at , he himself has a nutritionist (Mike Dolce i beleive) and if he eats correctly in the build up which he will , he will not have any problems at all with 135 , he made 137 and a half against Murray !!!

Gamboa on the otherhand is coming up in weight , nobody will know whether or not his power has carried until the day of the race , anything else is just pure speculation based on very little fact

I happen to agree BTW that Gamboa will be better suited to a higher division , but speculating he'll have the pop to take Rios out is empty words !!!! at this stage
