I told you already he was landing jabs, and from what I remember Haye was average that night apart from the end of the fight.

In all fairness though I only watched the Haye/Valuev fight once and it was in a bar. So I don't have any strong convictions on the fight tbh, I had it a draw and was drunk

 

A draw wouldn't have been a total robbery.
It would have been generous to Haye by Valuev fight standards.

I was surprised they gave it to Haye, but he DID deserve it.


Well, probably they both deserved to be disqualified for not fighting. But referees never do that these days.

 

haha, yeah, we've moved on from the Ingemmar Johannsen days of disqualifying guys for not trying.

I was surprised he got it too, foreign soil and all that.

 

David Haye is a salesman..........amongst other things. But he is a salesman. What else could you possibly glean from the build up to the Harrison fight?

I'm not a huge fan of either fighter, but I think Haye was pretty much 100% in the right. If someone like Chisora, who has just threatened to slap you and showed you that he will do it just a couple of days ago, walked up to me in an aggressive manner, you best believe I'm throwing the first punch.

Additionally, from what I saw, Haye only butted in when the German dude mentioned his name in a derogatory manner. He has every right to defend himself in that case, Chisora's big mouth then got him involved.
