Such a boring fight. Karpency is hopelessly overmatched, fight shouldn't have being made in the first place.

It's even less exciting than it looked beforehand.
    And that's saying something.

Your right. If Sasha fought Wlad next and lost, another WBA title would come out like a weed.

Well, Karpency made a concerted effort to stay off the ropes in the last round. It didn't win him the stanza, but at least it made the round appear a bit different from the previous ones in the fight.

    60-54 Cleverly.

A tiny bit better from Karpency in round 6, but Cleverly still won it. Now Karpency is walking forward into punches rather than sitting on the ropes and getting hit. Improvement? Not really, but he doesn't have anything to lose at this stage.

    Round 7

Jabs by Cleverly. Karpency tries to shimmy side to side, acting slick. Cleverly backs him nearly into a corner and Karpency springs out like a cornered animal with a straight left hand lead. Cleverly reacts too quickly to get hit by it, however. Several jabs to the face by Cleverly. Karpency flees along the ropes. Karpency leaps to his right and slaps out with a wide right hook to the head, blocked. Karpency has his hands all the way down, trying to lure Cleverly inside. Cleverly keeps jabbing out of his guard, not taking the bait. Big right hand by Cleverly catches Karpency leaning back against the ropes with no defense. BIG ONE TWO BY CLEVERLY!! ANOTHER! Karpency is trapped on the ropes. Karpency fights off with an udder-milking uppercut sequence! Karpency is then cowed back by the Cleverly right hand. (oh...that was slick, IB) Cleverly is having his way. Karpency is tooled over in the corner by that orthodox 1-2.

    70-63 Cleverly

I'm now keeping the corner of any eye on Britsch vs. Santos (and watching bits of it between the Cardiff rounds).

It seems it is better, but not by that much. :think

It seems nothing will top Povetkin vs. Huck - at least until the HBO card.
