I like him. he knows his **** and gives great insight is well as never getting too excited (like some people we can name on sky) No doubt There will be some who dont like his scouse accent
Smith hasnt earned his stripes yet to warrant a commentator thread, I am a bit miffed no one has made a Jim Watt thread (yet) this week.
"He's a extremely boring individual and very dry, as a commentator you want some flamboyancy, some sort of a angle and spark. Fair enough he knows the game technically, but he is a boring dry twat"
Its not good enough, just to know your stuff. There's 1000's of people out there, that know there stuff. Fact is mate, he's boring. And you also know this deep down, i used to like Paul Smith until he was a twat afew weeks ago. via twitter.
he can be funny but i agree that he isn't too flamboyant but he doesn't annoy me at all like some commentators.
People knock Jim Watt, but i think he's alright. I want to hear passion in a commentators voice, and thats what i hear with many good commentators. I want to beleave that some of these commentators could slip into mild depression, due to there involvment in fights, or jump into the ring enraged with anger, i want to feel and sense this kind of passion just by hearing them commontate. I think he's decent, like G Neville in the football, he speaks a strange accent/language but knows what he is on about and puts that across.
I don't like his scouse accent. Nah he's alright, gives good insight but i do like the sky ****s who get excited, brings a bit more life into the occasion. I think Smith would be better suited as a 3rd commentator
