Surprised to see Vince Phillips seeming in a bad way like that though not shocking. he was a drug addict before and even at times throughout his boxing career and it seems that he still has some struggles.

 

I loved his workout session. Tried to do some handstand pushups but barely did one :rofl

 

The freakout was eyebrow-raising, but the more I think about it, understandable. The fight is a night for cryin out loud, not 10 a.m. Saying "That's how Buster Douglas got knocked out" when he's on the phone sounds like an excessively insulting thing to say the night before the fight when trying to motivate your fighter. Busting a table is something else though, seems extreme.

I agree with people that Marquez had more to prove and trained harder mentally, though that was expected. I'm curious to see what happens next with that scenario in mind; maybe that fight is why he's cleaning up after all.

 

One think that has alawys been very intersesting to me is that despite a very different fanbase, Floyd and Manny are very much alike as people. both like expensive things, both flashy and have huge egos, and both like people kissing their asses 24/7.

What Manny was doing, staying up late or whatever was so out of the range of the mistakes Tyson made in his prep for Buster that Ariza should have never brought it up.

That being said, preparation wasn't the issue with the fight, it was technique and skill.

Ariza needs to realize he is just a S&C coach and should really shut the hell up and do that job competantly.

 

Funny seeing the disappointment in Freddy's eyes and Ariza seeing PAC get whooped on in there...

The fun part was after Marquez connects a huge shot, Freddy exhales and lowers his head down.. LMAO

The Marquez robberies will always be remembered... and currently the last 2 fights have asteriks on them.
