Which is essentially not speaking against Pacquiao because he only said that to imply that was reason for Pacquiao losing
I hear ya. Everytime a fighter who won is interviewed and starts with "first of all I wanna thank go for this victory.." ****, I change channel until that part is finished.
I'd love to put Al Haymon, Bob Arum, ODLH and Richard Schaefer in an Italian cruise ship and run them into a reef of sharks armed with laserguns and x-ray vision.
http://www.tmz.com/2012/02/04/julio-cesar-chavez-jr-dui/ Julio got arrested for DUI, but Merchant didn't mentioned anything about it during the fight and post fight interview. Yet Larry somehow had to threw in a snide remark when Floyd walked in the arena with his children hours before the Ortiz fight. What's wrong with that picture? We all know Floyd is an *******, classy and Floyd shouldn't be use in the same sentence. However, you can't be taking shots at someone at every possible turns regardless if you despise him/her, that's exactly what Larry did in that moment. One guy got criticized when he brought his children out to an historic event; the other guy was left off the hook.
For a boxer who complains about Americans not liking him enough, he is not exactly doing a good job of changing that. What with attacking one of our most prized, tightly held freedoms and all. Violently un-American, this. And what others said. Bogotazo in particular.
Exactly. Merchant has a seemingly PERSONAL beef with certain fighters. Strangely they all seem to share certain traits.
WTF? You don't even understand freedom of speech. Why don't you go and say some dumb crap on a table in your jobs' lunchroom? Saying stupid crap gets you fired. Period.
So if the complications of his personal life keep him from being objective he should... move on. Period. You guys are transparent man. :bart
This doesn't seem legit. People make up a lot when comes to Floyd. Wasn't he supposed to fight Matthew Hatton and Paul Spadfadora?
Now you're just sugarcoating it again. It isn't about Larry Merchant, his job is to go hard at every Boxers with his blunt questions[which is the reason he's mostly famous for in the first place]. Whether he can relate to some of the things that he ask certain Boxers is irrelevant. What's important is that he should have had did his job like he has always does. Mostly every Boxing fans knew about the DUI arrest and i'm sure they looking forward for Merchant to pointed it out in the post fight interview with JCC jr, but that didn't happened.
