Kalle Sauerland just said Hasim Rahman would be Povetkin's next opponent.

"In case you forgot, the WBA ruled about a month ago that Hasim Rahman, a totally shot former world champion, was mandated to face the winner of Povetkin vs Huck within 120 days of today's fight. Kalle Sauerland announced this evening that Rahman will indeed be next for Povetkin.

So just in case you were having some good vibes about heavyweight boxing right now, I wanted to come along and shoot your balloon with a rocket launcher."

i guess you don't need to be a prophet to tell that Povetkin's next 5 opponenents will be off Rahman's caliber.

With Haye available, why not take on him?

Even a fight with Chisora would be better.

    Shot Rahman is beyond shot-to-****.

Povetkin should man up & fight Gsora. :deal

Povetkin is done. The best of his career was left in the ring against Eddie Chambers

If Povetkin lasts long as fake-champ in the heavyweight division, he'll effectively have his own league with only one commissioning body. It'll be a completely irrelevant league and commission, but he obviously doesn't care.

That was his best performance. A resolute Chambers schools him in a rematch if Chambers ever gets back in the ring.

I thought Chambers edged the first fight, but Chambers has improved his game completely, Povetkin has gotten worse and worse.

Really what happened to the boxer that beat Byrd and Chambers? That Povetkin seems like a faint memory.

I know many people blame it on Atlas. But maybe also those big Sauerland paychecks and shoulder-pattings aka "oh don't worry you'll be champ, no need to diet and work hard" are to blame.
