Who takes this? I think Mosley would have far too much speed and power. He would apply constant pressure too which causes Khan problems. Mosley by KO in 8
Prime mosley was just as quick as khan is today. He was much stronger, much more skillful, much more powerful, much better chin. Khan's only shot is to box on the outside as he did against kotelnick but mosley could choose to counter his jabs with brutal combinations or walk him down and land brutal combinations. Khan has never fought anyone on this level and mosley should rightly be a massive favourite here.
More importantly he was quick with big power shots. Khan's speed is more pumping out the jab and 1-2.
Khan's pitter patter, Mosley's granite chin and power at this weight. This fight is only going one way.
Mosley does have problems with jabbers, but he's getting through against Khan and decimates him when he does Khan is a talent and would do well against none punching technicians/counter punchers, call me nuts but I'd give him a shot against Loche
Khan will be deprived of the only big advantage he has: Speed. Mosley, being just as fast, more powerful, much and i mean much much better chin, and flat out more skilled would destroy Khan, and i would love to see it.
Well I haven't seen LW Loche and Khan was green at that weight. So I think you can only match them at 140lbs Stylistically you've got Loche who sits on the back foot and likes to slip and roll shots while looking for potshots or counters. A very quick boxer who throws combinations while moving in and out at a high pace has more success against this 'waiting' style. He may miss the first punch but if he's throwing combinations/flurries will land some of them. It's the same style match up as Leonard-Benitez or Jones-Toney but with Khan being a level below Jones and Leonard. Skill he has a significant speed/strength/athletic advantage here. The other stylistic problem Loche has against Khan is Loche usually works exclusively with his left hand. But is facing someone with a faster jab and hook. Khan is more open to right hands than left hands typically, so another thing working in his favour. The only reason I wouldn't outright pick Khan is because he often telegraphs his first punch while coming in straight lines without feinting. Which makes him easier to slip and to counter that first punch. McClosky made him miss allot For similar reasons I thought stylistically Khan may have given an older slower more passive Mayweather problems. Mayweather on the front foot would dominate though because Khan can't fight going backwards
There's 3 minutes of highlights of Locche-Carlos Ortiz on youtube. Technically it was over the lightweight limit but Locche fought for the Argentinian lightweight title half a year ago. Locche looks much fitter, no showboating and fights in the center of the ring. That's all i could get of 3 minutes Only "a level below Jones or Leonard" is a big compliment to Khan. Let's wait and see what some guy named Peterson has to say about this Mayweather thing. Yeah, considering Mayweather is on the decline it would have been interesting to see how he would have tried to apply pressure on Khan.
