Is Adrien Broner the next Floyd mayweather?

He not as sharp, accurate, and schooled as Floyd, but he good. He is what Kobe is to Jordan, that is the best example, as far as skills go. But He is wayy more showman than mayweather and way funnier. He has a mixture of Hamed in him, with the Brush antics and the whole dancing thing, mayweather aint never did that. Mayweather just has fiddy in his corner and calls him his best "friend'... lol.

I haven't read the thread so I apologise if it's been spoken about before. I only just watched the fight on youtube so I couldn't see perfectly but Broner seemed to miss A LOT last night. Mayweather is very very accurate and crisp with his punches, especially when he was at 130. Broner just seemed to miss constantly and I didn't think Perez looked in any particular trouble but he just got caught.

 

He is not quite as good as FMJ, but his antics are better.

Either he is joking or doesn't take himself seriously and it comes off light hearted. Mayweather seems forced at times.

 

he does look alot like floyd. but he doesnt execute as good as floyd maybe he will get to that point one day. i think he resembles floyd though i bet broner studys floyd may alot

 

Forgetting about the persona does anyone think he has the same/similar skillset as Mayweather?

 

I will tell you this: Broner is young, has higher than average skills, can only get better with age, has a big promoter in Golden Boy, has the best network behind him in HBO, and is fighting in a division where he can look very good against his opposition. The test will come when the superstars from the lighter divisions move up or when he himself moves up. There are plenty of big names around him and time will tell if he is up to the challenge of taking on them or not. If he does, he can make a name for himself if he defeats the likes of Lopez, Russel Jr., Gamboa, Marquez, Rios, etc.

There can't be another Floyd.

He's trying hard to be like Floyd, however.. and is doing a pretty good job, but talent wise, he's just not at Floyds level.

 

Broner is a future P4P star. He fights very composed and mature in spite of antics.

 

I think Broner gives Gamboa some problems...

 

No....he's the next Adrien Broner. But, he obviously has taken a page out of Floyd's book. There will be comparisons, but, he's not as talented as Floyd was at his age, and quite possibly will never be. I can see him setting himself apart from his peers though.
