You'll realize, when you have followed boxing for more than just a few weeks, that money is the single most common reason as to why fights don't get made or at least having trouble getting made.

The second most common is venue and since that was settled in Froch's tweet it's ruled out per definition.

If you have other common reasons then be my guest and post which you think is MOST probable.

And, BTW. I did not say MOST probable.

    ???

    Se above.

Right. I had forgotten that experts in the Lowballing business like you also have humongous egos which prevent them from admitting they jumped the gun on a given topic. I'll leave you be in that little Kessler centric world of yours.

It's funny you mention that: I never claimed that I followed boxing just these last few weeks (actually, a more accurate description would be "a few decades"). However, never mind about that: I know very well that money talks very loudly in this sport as well as everywhere else.

Actually, there was at first Bute's tweet in which he said that the match has to be done, wherever in Canada or England, thus ruling out this issue.

I can think to many possible reasons, but I won't single out any of them since I am not an insider of the two teams involved. I would have been fine with you saying: "It probably means there are some still unsolved financial difficulties between the two parts". That would have been a fair and square statement.
Unfortunately, you have singled out not only the generic money problem, but also a very precise hypothesis about the actual problem: "It probably means that Bute wants a monsterpurse for leaving his comfortzone." That is very odd because without knowing any factual data, you assume that 1. it is Bute who raised exagerate financial pretentions and that 2. his claims are linked to some "comfortzone" approach. I can live with you making these two hypotheses, but in this case, you should have not used the word "probably" since your claim does not represent an actual information about negotiations, it is just your own speculation. Do you agree?!

    <Sigh!>
    No, you didn't. It's implicite.
The word "probably" attached to an eventuality A means that the probability of A happening (pA) is greater than the probability of A not happening (1-pA). That can be written of course pA > 1 - pA <=> pA > 1/2.
Any other eventuality B picked out from the possibilities excluding A occurs with the probability pB <= 1-pA < 1/2. So we have pB < 1/2 < pA for any such eventuality B => the eventuality A is the most probable.
In our case, A = "the cause of negotiation difficulties is that Bute wants a monsterpurse for leaving his comfortzone" and B = "the cause of negotiation difficulties is [any other cause one might think, be it money-related or not]".

That is: such an arguing choice from your part would have been surprising because 1. it is at odds with facts and 2. you are not a troll.

Speak not about owning: the right word choice is "clarifying the meaning of your statements".

In other words you agree with what I said. Thank you.

I was responding to Froch's tweet about luring Bute to Nottingham.

    No.

Again I was referring to Froch's tweet. According to that particular tweet it was Bute who was difficult getting to travel. I think it's money that's the key.

I did not say MOST probable, but I could have without it changing the point and the validity of my claim.

Make a poll among the Bute stans and 90% would say I'm a troll.

Afterwards you can ask if I care what they think.

Let me clarify my stance: Judging from Froch's tweet it seems clear that it is difficult to get Bute to travel. It MOST probably is because Bute demands an EXORBITANT amount of ££££ to leave his comfortzone.

    That should make you happy.

The real issue however, is whether the fight gets made or not. I really hope it does, as it's a great match-up.

The money issue is none of our business anyway and wheter these guys gets half a million more or less is unimportant to us anyway and both of these guys should already be secured for life (if they avoid divorces and silly investments as most boxers unfortunately cannot).

...on this "probable" topic which you have no details on. You just keep on trucking with giving Interbox a bad name, that's all.

That's like me saying "Judging by Bedard's tweet (re: 'still waiting on offers to come in'), it MOST probably is because Hearn is considering Froch fighting Dirrell for the vacant WBC title". But I didn't say that, because I'm not jumping the gun assuming one's fault. You on the other hand, are.
