What an absolute bloodbath! It goes the distance, it's a war, and I'll give The Toy Bulldog the edge on account of him being the harder puncher. Walker 15 round decision in an absolute classic.

I think basilio begins with the plan to stay at range and spoil on the inside landing big shots as walker bores in. After giving away the early rounds because of walker's superior boxing and infighting ability he decides to **** the plan and go to war.

Despite being physically stronger and probably having good success at times (some of basilio's heavy shots will land and force walker back) walker's power and accuracy ensure he lands the better shots to take a close but clear decision after a few shaky moments.

I'd say Basilio is stronger than Walker at Welter, I mean Walker was beastly strong but Ive never seen another Welter remotely close to the strength of Basilio

this would be amazing, I can't even begin to call it, both men are great combination punchers, Basilio's two fisted fluid assaults were epic, I'd give him the edge on that basis relunctantly, I don't see how he doesn't do a lot of scoring

For whayever it's worth. In the time of Basilio, Mickey Walker was considered in the
higher plateau than Carmine as a fighter. By people who saw them both twenty years apart...Of course Walker became one of the greatest MWs in history, and with John Barleycorn within him ,he beat such larger guys as Paul Berlenbach[ a bull], Ace Hudkins, Johnny Risko, Bearcat Wright [230 pounds],King Levinsky, Maxie Rosenbloom, beat top MWs as Ace Hudkins, Tiger Flowers etc. Basilio at any weight
    beats Carmine Basilio...
