The Chavez team has / will refuse(d) based on Lee being a southpaw. I read that somewhere.

That's why I surprised to read a "verbal" agreement has been reached, but we all know that doesn't mean **** sadly. I can't wait until Arum isn't involved in boxing anymore.

How long ago, what I read was from the 25th I believe at the Scene.

Well, in that article from the 25th it says Chavez's team is reluctant to agree to the fight due to Lee being a southpaw.

    Scene:

Following Chavez Jr.’s second successful defense of his WBC title against Marco Antonio Rubio in San Antonio on February 4, 2012, Team Lee, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum and HBO Boxing agreed in principle to the Chavez Jr. V Lee fight.

In the past few days Team Lee has been made aware that Team Chavez is reluctant for Chavez Jr. to face Lee due the Irishman’s southpaw style.

    *****************

...Arum saw the money 3 weeks ago, Freddie saw a Kronk southpaw. Freddie told Arum 'no' in the past few days.

    Yea it does.

When you have as many pro fights as Jr does, someone being a south paw shouldn't scare you. That proves the padding of his record has been substantial through out his career thus far.

I know Pernell & Lee are very, very different fighters, but maybe daddy doesn't want to see "ROBBED" on a magazine cover with Junior & Lee on it.

    :D

Sexy Sergio should pull a Canelo and break Daddy Chavez's jaw to get disgraceful Jr's attention.

Lee by decision in a close fight. That or he gets robbed and loses by majority decision

Chavez has gotten better, Lee has gotten worse.

    Chavez by mid-RD KO.

Yeah it was right after the Rubio fight when Arum was once again hyping Lee as a potential opponent.
