Was waiting for this to happen.

Damn us boxing fans for actually believing a fight of this calibre could be made with fiends like Arum in charge.

I hate to admit it but I agree with Relentless.

A guy jumping two divisions to fight at lightweight fighting a guy who should be at 140 if not 147.

BS fight anyway, I don't see Rios being thrown in with Canelo, Gamboa is facing that kind of jump. With that said, this was always Arum's cashout on Gamboa so what's the fuss if Yuri loses and leaves? Oh yeah, he might win... these upsets such as Sexy Sergio or BHop raping TR opposition really put the fear in Arum. How can he get ALL the money and control if his fighters are leaving for bad treatment? :think

gamboa should just back out of this fight, or request osdt and if rios agrees, he should request for a 60-40 split and if rios again agrees, he should then demand a rehydration clause.

    http://www.examiner.com/boxing-in-l...-bullsh-t-on-roger-mayweather-s-latest-claims

These words from Uncle Roger have apparently ruffled the feathers of Ahmet Öner, who co-promotes Gamboa along with Top Rank. Speaking to my colleague Jake Donovan @ ______, Öner sounded off on the rumors.
“It’s bullsh*t,” Öner said. “Gamboa has a contract with Top Rank and me. Don’t pull me in the mix like that and try to create problems with Top Rank. Yuri respects his contract with Top Rank.”

Never turn your back on the Bobfather. I bet hes got things in place that when his time comes, hes gonna burn a lot of people for years to come after hes gone.

Gamboa is the one that called Rios out. The contracts are signed. It will cost Gamboa big time if he backs out. Sounds like he is getting cold feet.

If he's signed the contract for the fight but not signed an extension and the fight doesn't happen for that reason alone, then it's hardly Gamboa's fault.

There was an article at the scene saying that Roger said that Mayweather Promotions signed Gamboa.
