Glass Jawed ****, to boot. His "stand-up" consists of nervously changing direction, backpedaling, and winging a sloppy overhand right, his shot is highly overrated given his decent wrestling credentials, and his ground game is crap. His fight with Rampage goes to show you how terrible Rampage is these days, however. He is completely done if he cannot KO a guy who was flattened by a one-inch "upperhook" from Ortiz.:roflatsch
Same here. Rampage didnt take that seriously. I wish he'd just retire or rededicate himself to the sport. But a loss to a guy like Bader is embarrassing.
The only fight I want to see Rampage in now is a rematch with Shogun. I don't know for sure obviously, but that fight I'm confident Rampage will actually take seriously. :deal
This. This is not an issue of him underestimating crap opponents, though I'm sure that plays into it somewhat, because he has looked progressively worse in every one of his fights for the past few years. His speed and timing are completely nonexistent, he comes in with no plan whatsoever other than to flail hooks away, and he still can't check a low kick. Unless Shogun is shot-to-**** from the beating he absorbed from Hendo, he will destroy Rampage no matter how hard he trains.
Page has some beef with Rich Franklin right now, maybe they can fight to see where Rampage really is at. :good
rampage hasnt had his mind on the job since the marvin eastman fight. I watched the back stage interviews and he was already contemplating retirement then and that was what five years ago??.
Rampage losing to mid card jobbers means it's time to retire. When he's not throwing his trademark left hook right upper cuts in close and the highlight of his last 90 minutes in the cage is one slam...it's time to hang them up
Thats what Rampage does he loses to crap opponents cuz he doesnt feel motivated enought to train for them he prolly just thinks well they are so bad i dont need to train for them. His 3 easiest opponents in the ufc are Ryan Bader, Keith Jardine and Forrest Griffin. He lost to Forrest he was very close to losing to Keith. He doesnt like training he said it himself and his head is just not in it. Personally i just want him to retire but i guess that wont happen soon
Thats exactly what happened. He's just fighting for the money now. Realistically he has no interest in this sport anymore. The fact he came in at 211lbs, which is the first time iv seen him miss weight ever has to be a solid indicator of his waning interest.
Bader is bollocks. He is the shot Tito Ortiz's leftovers. Rampage is a sad sack of **** these days, he must retire now. The guy was a ****ing beast in Pride, one of the very best lhw's ever IMO, but now he is absolutely rubbish. The day he couldn't stop Matt the Hammer Hamill is the day he should've jacked it. Prime 'Page would've knocked Hamill out in the dressing room with one angry glare.
