Rank these fighters in terms of P4P and legacy?

Wright fight was pretty disappointing - it was kinda surprising to see Hopkins struggling badly with Wright who fought above his natural weight and only getting the better of him by making things dirty.

For mine, he didn't even beat Wright.

P4P it was a better showing by Winky than it was Hopkins.

He held his own with Hopkins whilst waddling up to 170.

    As for the thread question:

    Jones
    Hopkins
    Holyfield/Toney

Winky should have taken the Taylor rematch and/or fought Delahoya, really flushed his career away by holding out for more money. He could have beaten DLH and Taylor and been a MW champ for a good while. I wouldn't forsee Pavlik or Abraham beating Wright

Winky was the best technician Hopkins fought and the jab and workrate were both problems for BHOPs. I don't think he only got the better by 'only getting dirty' though, he did try to take away the jab and counter or force the fight inside

    He should've fought them both.

I guess Wright comes from Marquez's school of bad career decisions.

You're right "by only getting dirty" is not totally correct.

But it would have been interesting to see how Hop would have dealt with Winky without resorting to dirty tactics.

But I guess that's too much to ask from Hopkins:D

Although Hopkins was a far cry from the fighter he used to be in the 90's it's still made me think of how Hop would have fared against technical fighters like McCallum or R.Johnson.

I thought Hopkins clearly outboxed and out smarted Winky.

I dont think Roy Jones should have his win over Hopkins ignored because Hopkins was great. Surely the fact that it was the first title shot for both of them negates that point.

Basically if Hopkins was green then Roy was just as green. The win counts.

    I had the same issues.

I'm always a bit biased with Toney though coz i love the way he fights.

I'm happy with the two orders i eventually gave.

:admin :patsch There are quite a few who woudl beat Jones at mw. Especially over 15. He fought two fighters who were worldclass there. Not enough to pick him over people who beat dozen(s).

Ah, my fans. I love you too. :smoke

btw. what´s wrong with beeing a hipster, lemming?
