Keep in mind there was about 5K in the crowd and not all had paid their tickets. That means Showtime paid entirely for the event, including organizing and undercard, let's say 3-4 mil $ -> that's some expense to create a champion. And both man's purses were surely gross, otherwise it would've meant Showtime had give 3 mil $ only for the purses of the main event.
I totally agree Froch should get at least 2 mil $ (gross) because he's risking a KO loss; the same i understood Kessler should've got at least 6-7 mil $ if he fought Bute for taking the same risk. Both Kessler and Froch have a reputation and Interbox and Bute must pay if they want those scalps.
If Kessler and Froch would have considered Bute an easy fight be sure it would've happened; like Kessler accepted to fight Ward in USA or like Taylor taking the Froch fight.

It is impossible for Bute to have more than Froch with those numbers. Read my previous post until you understand it. Interbox would have to take it from their pockets and guess what, they are business men, not charity club members.

I really have feeling that a Bute-Froch fight in Montreal would have a bigger revenue than $3m. Which means Froch will be left with approximately 33% or less of the whole cake.

I doubt flashy ko is included in his list of valuable fellow fans. That guy is seriously ******ed.

 

It would do 3M+ in Canada alone. 2M from the gate and I believe laffie once said they'd do about1½M from PPV for a Kessler fight.

That leaves SKY, overseas rights, some yank network and sitefee.
