Bold italics are the ones I agree with.

Bold for Shane Mosley : The injury is exaggerated, but I do think he was carrying some sort of knock.

Red for Hatton : Feather fisted Paulie, who was going through a crisis himself with Buddy Mcgirt. People choose to over look how bad Hatton looked against Lazcano, and the fact that he was wobbled by the semi retired Lightweight. Hatton was shop worn, and not in a decent mental state.

Why does it have to be taken as a slight against pac ? We're talking about Hatton. People are so insecure.

yeah because marquez won the third fight. no excuses. but the first two I don't think he did. more than one guy would be UP to fight the number one fighter in the world.

Excuses Excuses, he just couldn't mix it at world class level, nothing to be ashamed of but maybe he thought he was better than he really was.....

I fully agree.... Collazo was far to strong for him, didnt look great at the weight and took some shots that were avoidable.

What I will say is Ricky always brought entertainment and 100% commitment and effort in the ring. He was in some great fights and lost to two of this generations best p4p fighters.

I dont think hatton would ever have beaten Pac or floyd, in his "prime" or not... but I bet he would have given it a good go everytime.

    Credit it to you Ricky

It soesn't sound like an excuse he's just telling how it is. Do you seriously think a grown man and proud fighter would make up a story about crying his eyes out after getting roughed up by a sparring partner ??? :nut

hatton was just tailormade for pac, its annoying how for every win there is an excuse as to why the other guy lost, even if this is true about hatton its being said like a reason to why he lost.
Its not just pac by the way, almost any win get discredited , look at what happened a few days ago, not giving alexander credit but making excuses why maidana wasnt 100%.

Yeah but there's excuses and there's telling the world you tried to kill yourself and was crying your eyes out after getting battered in sparring. Use your brain.

Marquez I: forgot to hide his glass chin in the first round
Marquez II: all he could think of was to not being hit in the chin
.... which prevented him from throwing more punches
Marquez III: a great leverage between hiding his chin and throwing
one elegant and memorable punch per round created
overconfidence that judges will finally appreciate him

From what I remember that was after the loss, look:

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/ot...after-Manny-Pacquiao-defeat-in-Las-Vegas.html

I feel sad for ricky since I feel he truly believed he was the best at 140 and then got blown away by the smaller guy, logically it messes him up mentally, it seems he is doing better now.
its just that people look for any reason to discredit any pac win because of their agenda.
