Bat, take my friendly advice: follow Kessler and apply for Monaco residency; maybe your obsession for gross income/net income would heal over time. :think
**** You lie !!!!!!! A playoffs game for the Montreal Canadiens earns 2M$ and the tickets a lot more expensive than a boxing fight + 21 273 seats for hockey.... And when you say: fail to counter......hahaha....are you talking about the counter offer of the Froch camp.....??
20K times 100$ is 2M right? I wont dispute your canadiens numbers, but silently ask if it's revenue alone because it sounds like net numbers to me.
So now we know interbox offered Froch 1m and according to several stans it was gross. Some simple math shows that income from the gate alone is 2m. Now the question is this: is that a fair offer that Froch should take without hesitating? Have your say.
This call negociation , you should know that you never give your best offer first , Ibox gave a 1million offer , probably knowing that they can go up , let's say to 1,5 million , no they are waiting for Froch to make an offer or a counter offer , simple as this!
What he took for the s6 is not really relevant and the alleged 600K might have been net. At least I don't know whether it was net or gross.
For those that like to argue over how much money would be earned by the gate.... For a boxing event, the configuration of the Bell Center does not allow 20 000 paying fans to pack it in for starters. Then from that configuration, the fire department in Montreal would allow a maximum capacity which I believe hovers around 18 500. Now those 18 500 paying fans aren't set in stone, even if some people like to think that Montreal is like a given for that. Fact is it ain't that easy and I wouldn't bet my house on those kinds of numbers for a fight that doesn't involve a local rivalry such as Ouellet vs Hilton, like back in the days when everyone related to either of the rivals involved in the fight. It is safer and more logical to bank on, around 16 500 paying fans for a Froch-Bute fight at the Bell Center. The 1 1/2 million in PPV or local TV revenue is pure speculation and I highly doubt such money would be made. The Canadian PPV doesn't draw that much and there are many parties that cash in on the base fee, therefore in the end if I recall correctly, for the boxing promoters there's significantly less than 50% of the generated income with that. If Showtime doesn't get involved, with the Bell Center rental, the undercard to pay and all other marketing or general expenses to pay, there ain't as much left to split like some love to imagine.... In the end, coming up with speculative figures doesn't make the math more of a fact by the way...as it still remains an opinion, obviously based on very little rock solid informations at hand.
Normally in Europe, the site pays a fee for staging the event. In exchange they get the food and beverage sales which is quite a bit if 18.5K badloks are in the house.
