I don't think it was an actual percentage, just another way of saying "most".

 

I never knew that saying 70 percent was another way of saying most.

 

1: 95% of ESB members are under the age of 12.


2: By 2013, Floyd & Larry Merchant will realize that, seeing as they can't stop thinking about each other, they must actually be in love. They will run away together & get gay-married.


3: By 2014, there will be no less than 20 "official" governing bodies in professional boxing.


4: By 2015, Deontay Wilder will be the undisputed HW champion of the world.

 

What's scary is number four is the least likely. :err

He obviously did not suggest that he has performed extensive research on this and the results were 70%, it's clearly a random estimate number.

 

you used obviously and clearly at key moments in that sentence but it doesnt take away from the fact that he used a concrete number. concrete numbers require concrete evidence. if he wasnt sure it was 70 percent, he should've said "most". you have no basis for saying he meant "most", and not 70 percent, when he said "70 percent", if you aren't him. not to mention, he gave evidence of research after I questioned it, so how about you give your own opinions instead of inferring what he meant from nothing?

 

I am ok with the current state of boxing.

 

No one but the REALLY hardcore Mayweather & Pacquiao fans think they would be undefeated in the 70's and 80's. The nineties I'll give you as a controversial opinion.
