pac's stamina and work rate are still awesome and if you think he's slowed down well he's still faster than bradley by far so there's no excuses. If he has skills he should be fine or less his success is all physical and he's not that skillful.

Bradley wins this in my opinion but whoever wins gets real solid credit.

Pac has many elite level qualities kid. He has flaws....all fighters do... Even Floyd. Pac is just offensive minded...his style is one that produces offense over Defense simply because that's been his foundation...its been what has worked and what has made him an all time great.

Pac is fast....but he also has great reflexes and vision inside the ring. Manny has a lot of skills but he's just an unorthodox fighter. He doesn't have that "classic" boxer style that is what is more visually pleasing to the eye....but don't get it twisted, the man knows what he's doing and how to set traps.

Defensively Pac has some holes but a lot of that is simply because he's so aggressive. Whenever you throw a punch you are susceptible to a counter.....Pac some times will throw 5,6,7 punch combinations and that allows for much more opportunities for Pac to get hit.

Pac could easily use his speed and reflexes to "out point" his opponents throwing the jab......lead straight left and evade... Keeping his opponents out of range to land much of anything.

But that's not in Pacs DNA....Pac likes to fight...he wants to create an exciting fight and for that he puts himself at risk.. but that creates drama... Which is why everyone loves Manny and wants to see his fights. They know he will most likely win but with his style.....anything can happen.

His skills aren't that great to be honest. He can't adjust as shown vs marquez and mosley. His footwork is not great and he can't counteract opponents who circle around him and position there feet on the outside of his. He couldn't let of his combinations from that position and he can't adjust and deal with the right hand which he is a sucker for every time.

He let a old slow mosley stay in his survival mode all thru the fight and pac had nothing for him to put him in danger. He isn't as good when he comes forward he's better on the back foot. He is readable and you can time his repeated combinations.

His inside fighting skills are weak and when you see pac on the ropes he's a sitting duck, just watch the tapes. He gets stuck and runs away off the ropes mean while guys like floyd love the ropes and can sit there and score points of the ropes. Pac's defense is not superb so he can't fight great in the pocket and sit there with you he must keep on the move and dot in and out like he does which lets him walk in to certain punches. Hence why we have seen pac cut a good few times and bruised up pretty bad after his fights.

a lot of negativity there but he is still a good fighter but his physical ability is his main ammunition.

alot has been said about pac versus mosley and marquez. in fact, the best technical pacquiao you can see was the one when he fought marquez in the 2nd and 3rd fight. he employed great use of faint and his footwork is not as bad as you are saying when he would move to a position, unleash his right and quickly moves out of the way.

of course he would get tagged when he would be the one moving forward. but to minimize them in an aggressive mode tells you how skillful pac is. if he is only a physical athlete as what you are trying to imply, he won't get past it guys like barrera, morales, marquez and cotto.

he is not actually bad with infighting but he needs more space when it comes to bigger fighter like margarito. when hatton tries to push him around, he did outmuscled him and pushed him back, something that floyd couldn't do.

his defense is not bad either or an offensive-minded fighter. he would normally get 1 hit to unleash 3 or 4 punches. and those hits would mostly be on his guard like what happened in marquez 2 and 3.

he can be versatile with both hands and has power in both. he uses his jabs very well as a set-up or a range finder. and bets of all, he is a very accurate power puncher which needed skills in timing and attaining the proper position.

As an aside issue, has anyone heard what the undercard of this event is?I would hope they will beef it up like the Cotto event has.

course pacquiao has skills but i'm saying his physical ability is his main asset. Some fighters don't have great physical ability but can make it to the top on pure skills and i don't think pac could do that based on his technical skills alone.

Pac's physical ability is the only reason he made it past marquez. It was his energy and work rate. He never outsmarted marquez and showed greater technical skills than marquez.

  9. Bradley has no chance. None.

He is overrated. Powder puff puncher and notorious headbutt cheat. There is a reason why certain posters suckle on his testes, but we won't go into that.:dead:verysad:barf

Great post! And you are 100% on point with your perspective. PAC has some amazing god given gifts...but one other thing PAC has that is above most is his mental fortitude. He is a fighter and in this game it's good to have confidence and a killer instinct which PAC has shown through the years. In the Shane fight it wasn't there and he did carry Marg but it's there when it counts.

But technically.... PAC isn't as refined as guys like MAB, EM, JMM....even guys like Cotto and Shane. PAC is fast, powerful and has incredible reflexes which also helps his offensive and defensive ability.

Not that PAC lacks skills... he has a lot of them, but he is very unorthodox. His style has always been which has helped.

And let's not forget how many times people have written off PAC and had to come back and make excuses for their completely wrong predictions? I'm just saying.... don't go basing Tim's future on what JMM has been able to do with PAC 3 times....yet no one else has been able to make a fight with PAC anymore difficult.

There's no reason to believe Bradley wins this fight, he's not overly skilled, he's not that great defensively, he has some "pop" but no real power, he's not all that fast...I like Bradley fine, and I respect the hell out of him, but I don't think he has the physical tools to beat Manny.
