I think gamboa wins easy too, to slick to elusive and keeps out of danger and peppers rios all night and cruises to a wide UD. His footwork and hand speed and combinations make it an easy night.

Lack of capitalization and spacing aside, I agree with this.

Rios should be able to stop Gamboa! Gamboa is moving up 2 weight divisions and when u face a pressure/in your face fighter like Rios u better have very good legs otherwise it's good night. The added weight will not a help I think. Also Rios has good defense and he listens to his corner. It usually takes him a few rounds before getting his defense going therefore there is a chance that Gamboa tries his luck early but given the fact that he will be facing a much bigger man I don't think so. Apart from training Rios main focus should be to follow the recommendations of the nutritionist they say they will hire. If he does he will be fine but if he comes in like he did against Murray he won't make it till the end.

Rios is foolish to keep fighting @135...shoulda already moved up...Gamboa is WAY too fast for Rios and will be the same weight basically in the ring, so Rios won't veen have a weight advantage.

Hell no I dissagree with the TS.

There are weight divisions for a reason. When you put those mits on, things change and size matters very much so. While Rios and Gamboa are future greats IMO, Gamboa is moving up 2 weight divisions for this fight. Rios does not seem to be struggling with weight, which is what Team Gamboa LIKELY banked on.

I'm picking Gamboa by UD and I'm picking Rios to make weight with 0 problem.

Rios is going to drain himself just to make 135. Gamboa will KO him late after giving him fits with his movement and angles and precise pot shotting.

If Rios looks ghastly during the weigh in, I'll be putting my bank on Gamboa.

If Rios looks healthy, I'll still be leaning on a Gamboa decision, due to his vast experience and his speed.

¿ What do you think he's doing moving up 2 divisions to fight a former champ and dangerous boxer like Rios ? , that's how you become P4P IMO . Peace .

What we are going to watch on April 14th is a track meet. Gamboa doing Olympic style boxing and running around the ring. Rios will be there to fight a professional and crowd pleasing fight. It may take Rios all 12 rounds to catch him, but I'm confident he will.

Def a fight I won't be betting on cuz either man can win. Big fan of Gamboa but I just don't think he'll be able to handle Rios this soon. Moving up 2 weight classes and taking on a guy like Brandon is risky business. Plus we've seen Gamboa get dropped by much lesser fighters. I just see Rios catching him clean several times and sooner or later it'll be lights out.

    Rios by KO.

cant beleive so many people on here just think its a given that gamboa will have the same hand speed at 135 that he has at 125.he has never fought at this weight and no one knows what he will look like.gamboa is 5'6 at the most and is already built like a tank at 125,at 135 the guy could be muscle bound and lose speed and flexability.what the **** is all this gamboa has to much skills for rios **** to,the fact is that gamboa relies alot on his speed and athletisism not skills.rios knocks him out nasty.
