These are the type of fighters who are known for their offensive capabilities of taking fighters heads off which overshadowed their defenses. Two that come to mind are Jack Dempsey and Mike Tyson both were aggressive punchers but had some good defense and solid head movement when they chose to. Rocky had some underrated defense as well and very awkward and hard to hit clean. So what are other offensive fighters you can say fit this category.

:good In FOTC, up against one of the fastest fighters of all time(regardless of weightclass), Frazier at several points had his hands down and was dodging Ali's punches effortlessly, whilst taunting him. Im surprised people dont make more of a big deal out of that
People never do, to me it seemed like when he was being hit, he almost wanted them to land. It was like some sadistic pleasure to him.
I agree with Frazier's taunting big time, some of his most impressive moments. I can't imagine what was going through Ali's head at that moment. Chavez is also a good shout-out. I think offensive fighters in general don't get enough credit for their defense. It seems that the "slick" types for many hold the archetype for the use of defense, where in reality it's a mixture of aesthetic style and a priority for defense that makes it so salient to the average viewer.

Rocky Marciano was very canny at avoiding anything coming back his way or at least making it very difficult for anyone he fought to really find him with anything really worthwhile
Like most have said Marciano had actually a very good defense, I re-watched the Layne fight and concentrating i found it amazing how many punches he actually avoided Henry Armstrong looks like every punch his opponent throws lands but he actually parries and rolls under a huge amount Tyson despite having a very obvious right left right left head movement wasn't easy to tag, esp. cleanly Jake Lamotta also had very good defense and knew how to roll with punches, a rare art that is pretty much completely forgotten in modern boxing Joe Louis was very good at parrying and blocking punches
