Genius: Credit to Bute, but Kessler in his first defence went to Australia and Froch in his first defence went to US - so just about time actually.......
This is the perfect fight for both. Stylistically Bute has the advantage here as he is well suited to beat tough strong boxers (which is why his management has fed him with the strongest in the division in Bika, Magee, Andrade, Johnson etc.). However, being in the UK it evens things out a bit. And Bute will win from this for fighting in the UK. He will be in the mix and even if he loses he will surely get more title shots. So this fight, win or lose, will be his ticket to fighting the top echelon in the division.
Out of character for Bute. But great news, Bute deserves credit as do Frochs management for getting it in England.
And by coincidence Im on a stag weekend to Nottingham on the 12th. Now how can I convince the group to go to the fight?
Very well put Laffie.:good I've been making the point for a while that Bute owes his fans. He's certainly making good on that here.
The build up for Kessler vs Calzaghe were the best months here on ESB - no reason why the next months shouldn't be as great...........................SO HERE WE GO........:bbb...!!!
What a witty riposte:dead. I'm right and you are butthurt :smoke. Your hero is a Glass Jawed Fraud. Clearly you are blinded by your fanboy delusions and are unable to enter into a rational discussion where he is concerned. I am not expressing any views, I am merely posting independently verified, irrefutable facts. :deal This is ESB and the presence of posters who are able to objectively identify and discuss a fighter's weakness is what makes it the premier internet forum to discuss all things pugalism; we will continue to do so, irregardless of the insults and objections of deluded fanboys :hi:
I'm waiting for the official announcement tomorrow. Hearn's twitter: “Despite speculation, Carl Froch vs. Bute is Not a done deal yet. I am hopeful of getting it made though so stay tuned.” However, if Bute takes this then his resume will be much better than Ward's. Not even debatable.
