lots and lots of respect to Bute. No TV station backing from the states but still takes the show on the road.

More respect for this one fight than for all of his previous ones put together.

There's part of me that's dreading this fight.
What will we all argue about when it's all over, apart from "Where does Bute go now he's lost his '0'?":good

While I am glad that this finally got done, let's keep things in perspective here folks.

Froch is a 34 (almost 35) year old supermiddleweight, who has had a ton of ring wars, and who is coming off a dominant loss. This is the type of opponent Bute should be facing in every fight at this stage of his career. Also, this is not akin to Bute facing a prime Froch.

He'll probably go on and make a fight with ward (best case scenario) or Kessler, after he KEEPS his 0 and ads another win to his list. :smoke

Kessler ducked Bute, he didn't offer Bute a conter offer while Froch did.
Bute would have fought Kessler instead of Johnson, but he took the semi-finalist that was available. A "name". Now he is fighting the finalist of the S6, who beated Direll. Now Dirrell is quite a case. He said he wouldn't fight Bute in Canada but only in his backyard in front of his familly. On what leverage was he standing on to dictate where the fight could be. He has no win agains't a top ten SMW opponent, ever (except if you consider his DQ win against a MW).

Bute now shows that he WANTS those big fights. He was NOT hiding but the S6 took all the names, and hyped other like Dirrell. War Bute.

Indeed. Either matchup would have been better. Let's just hope that if Bute wins, he doesn't take an "easy tuneup" after this fight. :nut

Ok, so now that the fight is official lets start taking Froch down and say Bute still hasn't step up. Heck probably even if the fight with ward is made you bunch wont be satisfied...
