I know. We ever new for sure whether that 45/55% split was real or not, Unti now. Floyd has admitted he was offered that.

That would have neen awesom and added an extra excitement. an extra 10 to 15 million for the winner.

What is there to defend ? Floyd gave a great interview. He explained he does things for himself. Not the ' over all boxing fan" because at the end of the day he gets in the ring and he goes home to his family.

Here is the thing with both Floyd and Manny with this whole negotiation on the phone thing. Bob would have to agree for the fight to go through and that would have happen anyways

I think its about time for us to let go of this fight, its now clear it never is going to happen so why continue wasting our time talking about this when there are plenty of other good ones happening?

yup. You would think after Manny just lost to Marquez people would have dropped it but nope still the number 1 fight people talk about. I wonder if after Bradley beats Manny will Floyd vs Manny still be the number 1 fight people want to see

Thing is, he is not Pac's promoter, so why the heck is he giving him guarantees and opting to keep all revenue. If they fight, it will probably break 3mil ppv, split that in half, Pac can do whatever he wants with his half whether 40% goes to Arum or not and Floyd still gets Piad more than 2 Cotto's put together.

If the risk is so minimal as the *****'s would have you believe, why not? I think he pretty much answers it in this interview, he doesn't want to risk his 0 and his health unless he's making 3 times as much as he would with any other opponent.

This is my favourite ecvuese. But Arum wouldn't have let is happen anyway haha.

Team Manny/Arum offered Floyd the fight with 55/45 spit. All's Floyd had to do was accept it and we had the fight.

read between the lines folks. He is willing to fight Cotto for less money than Manny and goes on in the same breath to say he's there to stay undefeated and keep his health intact?
Never had any intention of making the fight. And shamefully decided to bring up the steroids as a diversion. So basically you have two guys who REALLY do not want the fight to happen (Floyd and Arum) and possibly a third (PAC).

    It will never happen.

More than happy for it. And if i was a boxer i may well be the same.

But as a boxing fan, I'm going to choose to support boxers who actually want to bring the fans the fights they want to see. And not a boxer that won;t take a fight if he thinks he will take too mich punishment.

He is not taking the fight because the business is not where he like it. Just like any other fight that has ever been made in the history of boxing.
