I thought this is one of the best interviews from Floyd that I've ever seen. Here are some of my thoughts from what I saw here...

    - Floyd is pretty harsh on his Dad.. Although some of what he said is true IMO his Dad is the main reason he is what is today and he should have at least acknowledged that.

    - I found myself completely agreeing with him on the Victor Ortiz situation.. Nuff said.

    - I disagree with him on the Pac 50/50 split issue.. Floyd is immensely stubborn and for someone who says he wants to give the fans what what they want to see he continues to contradict himself by throwing loopholes into the Pac negotiations. It doesn't matter what Pac is used to making in his previous fight.. what matters is what's fair and what matters even more is what's good for boxing and what the paying fans of boxing want to see; Floyd doesn't seem to get it or even care to be honest. If 50/50 isn't fair enough for Floyd then 55-45 with the higher 10% to the winner is completely fair and ultimately Floyd will make more then Pac either way.

    - I'm glad Floyd finally admitted that his villainous persona is nothing more then a WWE character because even though most boxing fans already know this the general public does not.

    - I agree with Floyd on what he said on how unfair it is that the NY media has villiainized Carmelo Anthony ever since Jeremy Lin broke out.. I live in BK NY and although I cheer for the Heat I think it's embarrassing how they treat a great player like Melo who has proven himself throughout his entire career carrying Syracuse to a national championship and the Denver Nuggets to the Western Conference finals. Lin has to learn how to play with Melo, not the other way around.

All around great stuff from Floyd and Costas! :happy

Here is another Link to the interview just in case it gets removed from youtube..

What the **** you mean "finally admitted his villain stuff is just playing a character" ?!

Finally? Nucca, he's been saying it for years, you haven't been listening.

Very good interview, thanks for sharing. Floyd not budging on the 50/50 means the likelihood of a Pac fight is very low. Luckily for him, after Cotto, Martinez would also be a very big career defining lucrative fight , especially if pac looses to Bradley.

Yeah, it's just a character, except when lays the two-piece on Josie Harris and flips out on security guards who are just doing their jobs.

I think Floyd did well here exept for the Pac part he showed that know matter what he needs the upper hand first or he will not fight ....he talks about playing on a even playing field but yet wont even it up against Pac ........ I think he feels releived everytime that fight don't get made .

Relax.. don't get all defensive. Costas now has a broader audience then any other boxing related interview where he's admitted he's playing a role.. That why I said "even though most boxing fans already know this the
    This content is protected
    does not."

No prob.. A Martinez fight is a bigger challenge for Floyd IMO.. Hopefully that happens. I have NO interest in seeing him fight Canelo.

I noticed that after but thanks for pointing that out.. He doesn't provide the full video anyway.

    You're welcome :good

Based on this interview, the Pac fights isn't happening cause he isn't going to budge on the 50/50 split. He's completely convinced he should get the lion's share. What a shame.
