Everyone gets so bent out of shape on every comment. I have been the longest standing Wlad supporter on this site, but we all know that no matter what happens, this is not one of his best fights. However, he can only fight who is available and who is willing to fight him. I would rather him fight Mormeck than fight nobody.

Stop going overboard about the Mormeck being similar to Tyson comment. Anyone with half a brain understands that he is talking about Mormeck trying to employ a bob and weave style.... which can be VERY effective for shorter fighters to employ against taller fighters. Height advantages are blown out of proportion sometimes. Just because Wlad is taller, and weighs more... doesn't mean that he should blow his opponent out of the water right off the bat. Being shorter can also be used to an advantage. If you are tall, fight tall... if you are small, fight small.... and they both have their advantages. It's not easy for a shorter guy to get into range and find the taller guys chin... however, it's not easy for the taller guy to get a clean shot in on a smaller moving target. In order to do so... he also must give up his height and commit to his punches... which now gives opportunity for the shorter guy attack as well. Also, guys with a height advantage like this tend to land most of their shots on the forehead.... while the shorter guy tends to land his punches against the taller boxer directly under the chin.

 

If not that, he would have at least been more impressive handling the same Chisora than VK was (even allowing for the injury).

I would like to summarize my thoughts in three points.

1) This fight is a disgrace, there is no other way to put this.
2) wlad explicitely stated that Mormeck is faster than Tyson, which is just a lie and shows that he has no respect for Tyson (who was a great champ) and also insults his fans' inteligence by saying such a stupid thing.
3) Size plays a major role. Otherwise, Valuev would have never won a title, the dude had lterally zero skill.

 

Dude, I'd much rather have a conversation with either of them than I would you. :deal

Besides, just because you don't get that inside scoop doesn't mean we all don't :hey I've been told inside stuff by a few different posters and I've always kept my mouth shut in respect for their wishes.
