Just imagine, Slothuev and The Squidman became world champions, but not GoLATTA who had more runs for a championship belt than a WWE character!

GOLATTA ONLY WINS FANTASY FIGHTS, 100% PURE POLAK GLASS, like GlassWach.

Get over it. Go back through the history of this sport and show me which long standing champs never had fights like Wlad's against Mormeck. This fight looks like Gold compared to some of the fights that former Champs had taken. I took it as Wlad saying that Tyson was faster than Mormeck. Either that or implying Mormeck being faster than Tyson at this stage of their lives by using the word (still) as he did. He also may have been saying that Mormeck is faster than himself... which makes sense because he had said it already leading up to this fight. Remember, English isn't his first language. Even if Wlad said that Mormeck was faster than Tyson prime for prime (which he didn't and doesn't make sense)... who gives a ****? Valuev fought nobody and held a paper title. He lost to the only decent fighters that he fought. You aren't proving your point by using him as an example.

I never said that size didn't play a major role anyways. I said that BOTH can have their advantages though, and it depends on the style that you employ. Being tall doesn't mean **** if you can't effecitvely fight tall and use your range. Just as being small may cripple you against a good taller opponent if you don't know how to use your smaller stature to get underneathe, inside, get the taller man off balance, make him reach in further than he wants, set traps,... ect... If you know how to use your height to your advantage, whether tall or short.... both can be an advantage for you.

I don't see what old timers are bitching about. After all it took 220lb Ali 12 rounds to TKO 189lb Ellis...

300lb valuev would have knocked wlad out cold, at one point he was undefeated, no blue prints none.

Oh it will go more than 4. Even with guys this small Wlad is scared to get hit on his chin. Wlad will hold this small guy everytime he gets close watch. Wlad fights like a *****. I bet this fight will go 12 rounds. If I were Mormeck I would run right out and rush Wlad and crack him on his weak chin.

    No.

If this goes anymore than 4 rounds with Wlad trying for the early KO that whole time, then Wlad should be laughed into retirement.

If he spends four rounds "feeling out" with his jab, and then kayoes Mormeck in the 5th with his first big right hand - then we're right on schedule.

This mistranslation again? Wladimir said Mormec reminds him of Tyson, but that he might be faster - kinda a different tinge to that comment, doncha think? He's probably saying it because Mormec is trained by Rooney - who happened to train you know who.

Yes - because it's real easy to get to the chin of a 245 pound guy with 6 more inches of reach and a good foot of height more than you, isn't it? I do that all the time in my neighbourhood :huh

It's a tune up. Whatever. Worse guys have fought for the title.

Besides, who else is Wlad gonna fight? He's beaten EVERYONE. The only person that I think could give him a tough time is a healthy Oldanier Solis, who IMO should get a Vitali rematch. He looked real good in that fight before the injury.

    Exactly.

WK has NOTHING to prove anymore. He could retire today and his legacy would be more or less the same as if he kept making defenses for four more years (which he could) - with the obvious exception of that longevity helping him a bit in historical ATG debates despite the caliber of opposition.

The only thing he could really do to make eyebrows pop would be to take on a massive risk/reward nightmare, someone like a Bogdan Dinu - except it's lose-lose, because even if he came through a war with Dinu and won people would still discredit it. Very harshly. :-(
