With the technology that we have right now, why not just give the people the option to select for whom they will pay the ppv for - for Pacquiao or Mayweather?

This will resolve the long time question who between Mayweather and Pacquiao is the ppv king. Fighter's share in total ppv sale will then depend on how much is collected in his own coffer.

If Mayweather truly believes that he really is the reason why people buy his fights, he should have no problem with this idea. :good

If they did that, Floyd would never get the bigger share even against Ortiz

because all of the PI would cram themselves into every internet cafe and spam the poll in Manny's favor, just like how he was voted to be able to beat Duran, Leonard, and Hopkins if they were all the same weight.

I don't see it working but I wouldn't mind seeing that happen actually.

A true fan will support his man, so do the Mayweather supporters. Mayweather claiming that people pay to see him fight will now be put to a test.

    Comprehension fail. Read it again.

Oh, the idea sucks because of the different way Floyd marketed himself.

ah. i don't see that working. that would involve the promoters and fighters taking a HUUUUGE gamble on finding out how much of the fan base they pissed off with these past 2.5-3 years of bull****.

:thinkhmmm...give the ppv buyer the option to choose the split, how much what they're paying goes to whom.

it has to be reasonable though, range could only go from 60-40 on either side. it would prove who the real cash cow is.

Fact is, even if this is doable, there is no way Mayweather will agree to this. He'd be too afraid to find out the handful of supporters he has against Pacquiao.. even in his own backyard.

You are moron. While Pacquiao has way more supporters they still are equal in terms of drawing power. People watch Mayweather to see him lose. You could put him up against Berto (who has 0 drawing power) and more people would vote for Berto if your idiotic idea were to be used.
