The only thing im afraid for Bute is the right uppercut of Froch's to the chin like the one he nailed Magee with ,who's also a southpaw.

Totaly agree, Bute's style is defensively weak against the uppercut. But it needs to be fast otherwise he'll just lean back and slip it also leave Froch open for a counter.

What ca we expect from Ward fans ?

Before some much hyped tournament final you didn`t bother to make such a thread did you ? Froch was one of the best fighters. The divisin had its final, didn`t it? Now Ward`s fans (including Hopkins who was present to the final ans says now Bute`s the best and Froch the weakest of the division! So what about Ward?) say this fight is missmatch.

Or say Bute fight a man coming from a loss or who has two losses in last four fights.

So, when Bute beat man with ten or almost ten victories in a row he did fight bums. When he fights the best fighters in the division IN HIS TURF is still not good and is favourit from start.

So you admitt the best threat of American 168-ers was kept out of tournament just to prevent a the fail of the hype of an American new(old) star.

If Gennady Golovkin knocked out Bute then Calzaghe had at least a defeat before his first fight at profs, right ?

And if uou consider Andrade knocked out Bute then remember Bute didn`t got knockdowned by a man who`s nobody after your estimations, Salem, like yor man did.

Let`s remember Bute beat Bika without taking some big shots as your man did.

Next time you`ll remember me when you talk about Bute.I respect Calzaghe.

I actually agree with alot of what you have just said.
    Pascal was a terrible SMW
    Taylor was 1-2 going in
    Many felt Dirrell won
Kessler was an unwell double vision suffering fighter who was coming in off a loss
Abraham is a terrible SMW who was coming in off a loss
Johnson was a journeyman at SMW before and couldnt beat anyone before he moved up to LHW. In fact Johnson has lost more than he has won at SMW and his best win at the weight was A Green coming in off a loss.
Ward who was gassed at the end and Froch didnt do enough. In fact I think Froch exposed Ward a bit as I was surprised Froch won as many rounds as he did in that fight

    But...

Froch has complete respect in that he fought every original member of the over hyped S6 one after the other and was fighting away in 5 of his last 6 fights. Froch as champ often fought away which is a big ask to do so many times (everything to lose and nothing to gain).

Im excited about this fight as the SMW division has been my favourite since the Leonard/Hearns unification years ago.
Bute is champ and fighting away and it will be interesting to see if Froch is as competitive against Bute as he was Ward. I dont think he will be, but I want to watch the fight.

I think Bute wins clearly and gives Ward more reason to avoid him.
Bute wins clear and Ward says Bute has to fight someone else first because he had just beaten Froch. Ward will push for Bute/Dirrell.
    You heard it here first

Froch is a bit of a spent force, has been for a while. He hasnt thrown that old uppercut for a while now

Froch is not a spent force. He's at his peak right now, all-in-all. Look at his performances against Abraham, Kessler and Johnson - his very best. The reason he doesn't look good any more is because he's no longer fighting D and C level fighters. He might not be at his peak physically, but on the whole, his level of performance is at its best. :good

1/10 - at least you know the name of a few fighters in the division. I know you're a newb, but your performance is truly pathetic. You're an F-level poster.

Look at Froch when he was younger in his career and moving faster.
At 34 Froch has been in some big wars now and said himself in the build up to Ward that he feels like an old man.
Froch looked lucky against Adamu years ago. Remember Froch had a long amateur career and didnt turn pro till he was in his middle 20s. He is an old 34 and looking slower than ever.
He lost to Kessler and Abraham was a MD against an old fighter with more losses than wins at SMW. A fighter who couldnt win anything at SMW previously and lost to nobodies.
Abraham is a terrible SMW and like Kessler was coming off a loss

You can find flaws in everyone's resume...
    1. Pascal wasn't great @168, but he was pretty good
    2. Taylor wasn't shot and he wasn't dominating the fight, the first (Taylor being shot) is just the standard over critical "boxing fan statement", the second (Taylor out classing Froch) is a myth made up to either make Froch look bad, or to make his victory more "heroic", i don't know which one to pick.
    3. Dirrell didn't humilliated Froch and it wasn't a robbery, another over used statement.
    4. Before losing to Ward, Kessler was regarded as a world class fighter, but as soon as you lose you become a bum, you have to remember that.
    5. Many people gave Abraham a serious shot at beating Froch, and Froch actually beated Abraham more convingly than Ward and Dirrell
    6. Johnson gave Froch fits, yes, i haven't scored the fight, but i think 116-112 is the right call
    7. Ward is a future P4P star imo, no shame in losing to him.
