The commission ****ed up the scorecards :patsch

That means that there should have been a sudden death round. What a massive mistake.

I know! And McCall had real momentum king into a possible 4th round IMO.

I had it 29-28 Johnson (first two rounds, close first, and 3rd round 10-9 McCall, though 10-8 was fair) and am happy they will rematch next month.

Flyweight is going to be sick once UFC snaps up more guys. Really think this next TuF should've been Flyweights, with the two slightly bigger 1&2 in Faber & Cruz coaching them. Could've chucked Ulysses Gomez in there, or actually pack it with some top quality fighters for once.

And I say it again, but Dodson will do damage at 125 IMO.

I had it as a draw, no way that last round wasn't 10-8

I think 'Uncle Creepy' looked to be on a roll. He should feel injusticed. The rematch should be fun, though I think, judging by this an the Jussier fight, that McCall comes on stronger as the rounds progress. He'll be at his best over 5 rounds IMO, so hopefully he can take the W and move on to Benavidez.

Beefcake looks formidable at the weight but both McCall and Johnson should give him a real run for his money. McCall more so though, I could see Benavidez outmuscling Johnson, who still looks small at 125 :-(

Anyone else think McCall took the 1st as opposed to a draw?

I think the first round was close as McCall got the takedown but Johnson outlanded him with cleaner strikes IMO. It was close though.

Yeah the strike that rocked McCall seems to be the difference in the 1st, but overall McCall did the slightly better work

I though MM would wear him down and out wrestle him overall, but a great 3rd there, looking forward to the rematch

Yeah in fact apart from a sweep Johnson looked ****ed in the grappling stakes, where I thought his wrestling would be superior to McCall's despite the UFC noob being a tested grappler.

McCall is so open when backing out of clinches/exchanges though. He's tough but don't know how long he can sustain his style without getting caught big.

It was close, but I thought that McCall edged it.

10-10, 10-9, 8-10. I scored it to McCall. Even more infuriating is that I had McCall by decision in my bets and if that went to a 4th I think he was taking it. Bets should be voided on that, but they won't be.

Judges continue to **** things up. Ill be exicted to see another 3 rounds for these guys but we wouldve had a chance at history right ? With the sudden victory round in an offical fight.

I didn't score it clearly because in both tournie fights I was looking for what each fighter had to offer at the new weight. I was already looking ahead to the final. The first round was close and the third could be 10-9 or 8.

Funnily enough fight fans will never change. A boxing or mma match consists of battles which make up the war. In this case there were 3 battles but we can't help but treat them as a continuation, thus finishing strongly is always respected. We feel like we have watched a full fight and the guy who finishes strong is the guy who was winning and thus winning the fight. In truth it is points unless someone is stopped.

These small guys make it hard to score cos McCall can get stunned but then so much work is done that there is alot to take into account. With bigger guys, someone being stunned can often be enough to win the round.

I think the scoring was a mahoosive **** up but a rematch might not be so bad.
