Judah- "After the first couple rounds I'm going to dominate"
Mosley- "I'm going to stand my ground"
Ortiz- "I'm going to be aggressive"

Floyd comes forward, BUT he isn't aggressive like some of his fans want you to believe. He comes forward looking for his opponent to throw punches that he can counter. If the opponents punch happens to land, come close to landing or the opponent throws in aggressive combinations (like Cotto will) Floyd usually backs off and relies on his defense. The only recent time I really saw him being aggressive was against Ortiz when he threw that 5 or 6 punch combo for like 3 seconds in the fight.

isn't that the way to go? why give anyone free shots on you if you have the defensive skills to prevent the majority of shots?

Absolutely.. My point is he isn't an aggressive fighter like a Margarito and Pacquiao who both come forward AND throw power punches.. Floyd's more like a walk you down and break you down strategically type of fighter.. I would say he's more cerebral then aggressive.

    Yep.

The style he used against Ortiz and Shane was interesting. It was subtle pressure rather than the typical way of charging forward throwing shots -- with Mayweather, he walks you down behind that high guard and makes you nervous, but he does it without actually throwing many punches. He does sometimes lead with his straight right or left-hook, but mostly he's waiting for you to crack under the pressure and try to attack him, so he can counter you and make you even more intimidated.

I still think he's at his best when he's boxing on the back foot, but this style actually works quite well for him too. I don't see it working too well against Pac, but that's another story. I actually think it would work very well against Cotto, who doesn't seem to like constant pressure at all.

Floyd's gonna treat Miguel the same way he did Josie Harris.

I see him using a mixture of boxing on the backfoot and walking down for emmanuel just like Tijuana did in their first fight.
