Dallas and Skelton are in the ring.

 

Round 1

Skelton barrels straight into Dallas and they chop at each other in a phonebooth, with Dallas leaning back into the ropes. Good rights over the top by Skelton. Dallas is winging in hooks to the sides of the head while backing up. Cuffing hooks reaching up by Skelton. Jab by Skelton after they separate. Dallas hangs back, boxing tall. Push-jabs with the left by Dallas, circling to his left on the outside. Dallas is landing the 1-2 well now, stepping on a compass path and tossing in straight lines.

Strong opening for Skelton, though.

 

Round 2

Skelton is banging away with left and right overhands, chin tucked on the way in. Dallas tries to keep him out with counter 1-2's but is getting bullied back to the corners. Skelton is really scoring well with overhand rights thrown from behind the far hip. Dallas' head is just hanging up there like a pinata, waiting and ready. Skelton is looking much stronger physically, carrying Dallas to each corner in turn and slamming down on him. Dallas is unable to keep him off. Body taps by Skelton on the inside. Dallas steps out to his left and tries to establish his jab. More overhand combos by Skelton, hustling Dallas back against the ropes and then holding and hitting.

Skelton is the revelation tonight, with his workrate and aggression at age 45.

We already knew Dallas folds like a lawnchair under heavy pressure. :good

 

Round 3

Skelton continues to cannonball his way inside and knock Dallas back against whatever hard surface is closest. BIG RIGHT HANDS over the top by Skelton. Dallas can't do anything with him. The 1-2 isn't working. Moving left and jabbing doesn't get him out of the danger zone. Body shots have zero effect. Skelton is just walking him down and beating the snot out of him. Heavy right hands over the top by Skelton, and left hooks to the lung. Dallas leans down on him, looking limp in the upper body. BIG RIGHT HAND TO THE JAW BY SKELTON!! Dallas is on weak legs!!
