McDonnell is cruising to his left and popping his long jab at the much shorter Pozo. McDonnell dips his knees and hooks the body while moving. Mostly just popping that long jab up over the gloves of Pozo. A rushing attack down low by Pozo. McDonnell is exploring with his jab, getting a feel for range and what plane to throw his jabs at to catch the top of Pozo's head. Quick left hook by Pozo circling by McDonnell, grazing. Long jabs by McDonnell, landing well from outside. Short bursts of aggression by the smaller man, jabbing up high and missing from outside or jumping in to whack the body. McDonnell is backing up and moving laterally, too smooth and quick for Pozo to square up to. Body combo by McDonnell, bending his knees and then snapping upright to keep jabbing and moving. Left upper-hooks from outside by McDonnell as they keep orbiting. Clinch as Pozo closes in on him.

Round 2

Pozo is casting his fishing-rod overhand rights from outside while circling, and McDonnell is easily sidestepping and picking him off with that long left jab. Nice 1-2 from outside by McDonnell. Very confident posturing by McDonnell, using a wide firm stance to step in on Pozo and drill him with straight shots. BIG RIGHT CROSS HURTS POZO!! Body shots by McDonnell, left hook to the belt line. Pozo takes a knee, and complains that it was a low blow. The ref doesn't want to hear it, and counts to ten.

Counted out!!

It was a left hook to the eye that actually forced Pozo to take a knee. How can that have been confused for a low blow???? :blood
