To be fair to McDonell though, Arnould away & Jamoye are both very good wins for European title standards at any weight. Plus the Hall fight was a decent win too vs. a British champion that some people had favoured beforehand to get the win.

But I agree that he needs to fight a real fringe world operator before a world title fight. Similar to Munroe when he took on Terrazas so I hope Maloney follows the same path with this one.

I was thinking Cermeno but he's up at superbantmaweight now and has been in shocking form. It would be a decent name but not really the test McDonnell needs IMO.

Can't think of a HW fight I'd like to sere more than Haye-Vitali.
