Talk is cheap let's c on may19th he knows he lost the 1st time thts y he tried running from the rematch, we cornered him so he had to take the fight, my fists will do the talking, RT @BoxingHype: Lamont Peterson on @AmirKingKhan : "I beat him before and I'll beat him again"

    -----

Now i really want Lamont to beat Amir; why is Amir being such a bully? He hasn't even started his training. Lamont's already started.

    Has Lamont started?

Khan has kinda' begun, too. He spent a couple of weeks with Gallagher. And is planning on hooking up with Roach at the beginning of March, if I recall correctly.

But yeah, he's acting like a right toss-pot with this rematch. Lamont hasn't even whispered a bad thing about him, yet he still can't show him that same level of respect.

No way has Lamont already started LMAO!

That would just show he is scared...

it would harm him more than help...

he would peak ages before the fight...

Maybe already slowly started doing small run like jogging and just generally easy going gym work...

maybe you should call barry hunter and offer your advice.

you dumb **** some boxers train more than others, in the amateurs they fought 2-3 a week and trained everyday.

Peterson already knows what it takes to win.

Amir is gonna do the same thing cause he thought he actually won the last bout.

Khan's in for a surprise when Lamont is in his chest from the first bell.

Peterson points out what many of us have been saying since the first fight:

'“As a fighter,” he said about Khan, “he’s a good athlete who has the heart and mind to fight. But to me he doesn’t have a lot of skills. I think he’s an energy fighter. He’s athletic and comes to fight. He’s in shape and he’s fast. Not that strong, but really fast. And he loves boxing. He loves to fight. But at the end of the day, my skill level is much, much higher than his. I don’t think there’s a lot of things he can do. He’s going to fight one way. With me, I can fight many different ways, do a lot of different things in the ring, throw a lot of different punches. With him it’s pretty much the same punches, the same combinations, the same speed, the same time. He really doesn’t know how to make adjustments or anything like that.'

    Hi guys,

I’ve just been relaxing and doing other work away from the ring since my fight last December with Lamont Peterson. As you all know the rematch has been agreed but something you might not know is that I will be going into the ring as the WBA ‘Super’ Champion. I’m really looking forward to putting my WBA ‘super’ title on the line against Peterson, who will enter the ring as the IBF world champion.

This week I’ve been away in Panama, a really beautiful country, as I was invited by the WBA who were hosting a special convention for all their champions. My good friend Ricky Hatton was with me and we had some right laughs whilst we were there. I would like to thank the WBA and the people of Panama for all the hospitality they showed me whilst I was there – I’m sure it won’t be my last visit to the country.

My stablemate Jorge Linares was there as well and it was nice to meet up with him because I hadn’t seen him since my last camp.

I’m just gearing up to the rematch now with Peterson and I’m delighted that this fight is taking place after everything that’s gone on. This was a fight all boxing fans wanted to see and I’m glad that we have made it happen. The fans reaction has been immense and I’m shocked at how quickly tickets have sold since they went on sale on Thursday. If you want guaranteed tickets please visit www.sportscorporation.com and get them while you can because Mandalay Bay on the 19th of May is going to be a sell out!

My camp starts very soon but I won’t be training in LA for this fight as Freddie and the team will be in the Philippines with Manny Pacquiao who fights Timothy Bradley in June. I’ll spend two weeks doing conditioning work at my gym in Bolton alongside Joe Gallagher’s fighters before heading to the Philippines and finishing camp of there.

I’m going to leave no room for any doubts in this fight and know that both belts will be coming back with me. I can’t wait to start my full camp and am already getting my fitness levels up by running and doing a bit of work in my gym.

The press conference for the fight will be taking place very soon and all details will be up on the website next week – so stay tuned!

It’s great to have a break after a big fight, and I’ve been doing a lot of work away from boxing whilst I’ve been out the ring. As you know I’ve been on The Jonathan Ross Show, which was really enjoyable and I had a good time with all the other guests and I also got the chance to go to London Fashion Week with Burberry which was another great experience as I’m a big fan of fashion.

But at the end of the day boxing is in my blood and it’s what makes me tick so I can’t wait for the 19th of May. It’s time to put in the hardwork now and I look forward to keeping you all updated with how my next camp goes!

    All the best

    AK
