yea i cant stand people that think heavyweights are the only fighters worth watching, with that said ill never watch a fight under welterweight unless its a BIG fight, no offense, but i dont have much desire in watching guys the average size of girls box

I think Pac starches Wlad. Wlad couldnt hit (or hold) a real skilled fighter with speed. He would never touch pac or may.

and as soon as these lightweights touch Wlads glass chin, its a wrap

I use to be a big HW fan.... It just has that big fight feel. think Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield.

However, now NOBODY even pays attention to HW's. I mean HBO won't even show the HW champship fights.

Wlad has made a career of fighting overweight fighters cruisers trying to score a big payday.

jab, jab, grag...... hold, hug, jab..... repeat. zzzz zzz zzzzzz

I have no time for any **** who only watches Heavyweight boxing.

Jesus ****ing christ, they can **** right off!

There's much more skill, heart, wars, bangers and KO's at lighter weights.

And now you will list the currently active boxers who can beat Wlad or Vitali. Don't think I'll hold my breath waiting though. Fights in other weight classes are also entertaining, but you need to check your dictionary for the definition of 'best'.

Maybe not the most skilled, but on absolute terms, of course they are.

It was stated that the heavyweights were the "best fighters on the planet" That is just not true. There are numerous lighter weight fighters that are much better. It had nothing to do with the Klitschos in general but with the statement that heavyweights are the best. No one is expecting Mayweather or Pacman to fight and beat a man twice their size. Can you imagine Mayweather or Pacman at 200 plus and with their skills intact fighting any present heavyweight. It would be a massacre with the two smaller men winning a clear decision or by KO.

Well said mate. Watching the smaller guys is like watching poetry in motion. You're way more likely to get better fights with the lower weight classes. The HW division has always been a hit and miss. Usually it's a miss. Bigger guys are generally slower and less coordinated, and don't move as well. There are exceptions of course, but that's why they get so much attention (e.g. Ali and Tyson), and people go "OMG, he's a heavyweight, but he moves like a welterweight!"

Today's heavies generally produce dull as **** fights, and often turn up in poor shape. Only a moron could actually say with a straight face, that the recent HW fights have been exciting.

Just considered this for a moment or two, here goes

    1. They are the best in the world. Being p4p #1 has more status amongst boxing fans but with casuals simply being the best means more

    2. There are no divisions above draining talent, meaning fighters campaign for longer at heavyweight, nobody can move up to duck anybody else, the big fights simply have to happen and if they don't someone is taking a hit to their status

    3. The cruiserweight division is weak and the best cruisers end up as heavyweights. It effectively, eventually, draws the best talent from 175 and above- without it's own best fighters moving up in the meantime

    4. Because of the more stable nature of the division it's easier to discuss fantasy fights between great heavies because they spent more time in the division rather than only 3 or 4 fights. Often fighters fight their whole careers at heavyweight

    5. No catchweight bull**** going on

    6. Fighters seem able to fight for longer at HW.

    7. I think the further up in weight you go chin strength doesn't keep up with power, so 'puncher's chance' possibly means more

    8. Because of it's popularity even lowly ranked fighters are likely to fight on TV. Fans become more familiar with the fighters as a result, and it generates interest. Lots of people can make and justify a heavyweight top 10, or even 20, but how many people can do that for, say, middleweight or light welterweight? That encourages discussion
