I gave up on Wlad.. that's it!

    YOu'd think after 50 KOs and countless training with Emannuel.. he would use an upper cust or develop a little bit of inside game.

    No uppercut.
    Barely uses left hook
    No inside game.


    Wlad is not what i thought he would turn up to be.

    Vitali on the other hand is the man. Wlad is Robotic and is not versatile..

    **** the clinching.. move to the side and fire away.. use your movemment.. he is such robotic fighter.

    i just saw some lennox lewis highlights and man oh man.. that WAS a champ... and one of the greatest...

    I am no longer a Wlad fan.

    Wlad would never ever be able to hold Lennox Jock strap..

    sorry i was a fan of Wlad of many many years.. since 1998...

    i like Wlad as a person.. he is great guy and gentelman etc..

    but not as a HWT champ.

    Godly post.

    Wlad is a likeable guy, but.. as far as entertainment goes, he's about as fun to watch as sitting down a saturday night watching paint dry.

    Ayatollah has been posting to ESB about boxing for almost as long as you have asked him to go back and look at Klitschko. You should respect your forum elders.

    I do respect him and his charities and what he does as a sportsman..

    but, as a HWT champ, i gave up on him.

    Even against an over matched opponent who is not even throwing a punch, he still uses the frustratuing jab grab technique, which makes for a very frustrating boxing viewing experience

    That's exactly where my frustration is with him. He is sooo gifted and powerful. but No inside game and no upper cut and same exactly routine. its soooo boring now and it is like following a blueprint. :-(

    Jab, Grab, right hand. ....

    I really really wanted to stay a fan. he is making it very hard. :-(


    He is reminding me of Ruiz.. for **** sakes...

    Watch Lewis going to war with Vitali and Mercer to dig out a win, or blowing away big, dangerous guys like Ruddock and Golota - Apart from not having the competition, Wlad simply does not have it in him to be involved in fights like that..

    I just want to reiterate.. this is NOT a wlad bashing thread... i was a huge fan of his boxing.. and i am still a fan and respect the guy.

    But, NOT a fan of his boxing any more..

    Never was a fan of him but he has a style that works for him, I can't really criticise him for that.
