he is pretty underrated these days, i think he's gonna make allot of noise at 140, he has the skills and abilities to beat anyone in that division, i think he would spark out the overrated maidana.

They were not exactly ranked fighters were they Guzman's best weight was probably 130 and he wasn't exactly knocking out guys there we shall see.
I hope he does well though he has skills.

he constantly has problems to make 140.

he needed 3 attempts last Friday to make weight.

and his last two opponents were nothing special

Maidana was terrible a few weeks ago but has looked good at 140 in the big fights. Guzman wouldn't be a certainty against Maidana at 140.

Guzman needs to start taking Boxing seriously again, he is quality but has wasted his career the last few years. He should fight some top 10-15 LWW then we will know if he still has it.

maidana is nothing but a gatekeeper fighter, his power is hyped up by his legion of fan boys. i dont rate alexander i think matthyse would likely beat him again, but the fact that maidana lost all the rounds against devon, says more about how bad maidana is then how good devon alexander is. Maidana would get thoroughly embarrassed against guzman. Hell i thought an old ass el terrible morales did enough to get a draw against him.

Guzman is in the who needs him club now. HBO and Showtime won't touch him so theres no money in fighting him, but he is good enough to beat anyone on the night.

If your a promoter why would you do anyhting with Guzman?

    Guzman has always lacked focus.

I'm banking on the recently unbanned Ali Funeka to come back and prove his superiority over Guzman again. Now that is a talented fighter.

Guzman looks ace against nobodies nowadays. He has flash and handspeed but doesn't have his feet at the higher weights. He also doesn't have the size advantage he used to have at say, 122, yet he still barely makes weight.

He is a talented waste of time. **** Guzman.

i had to re-check when i saw/heard he was still undefeated. This is how inactive the guy has been, i totally forgot his fight record, incredible. The guy was seasoned to be something special and p4p elite..

And ability. Floyd is the more rounded, sharper puncher and astute tactician.
