And you're posting Chambers as a response to my comment: Seth Mitchell is a big heavyweight with thick bones, whereas Chambers is a light powder puff puncher with no real strength as a heavyweight. They're two completely different athletes. Seth Mitchell could probably tripple Chambers in squat exercises. He'd throw Wladopus off like it ain't nuttin'.
there have been other times I've blamed Wlad for the holding, ie sam peter 1, but in this case mormeck was the one avoiding. He was coming under wlads arms and doing it so quick and safe it was very hard for wlad to do anything. Mormeck was hoping for a slow starting wlad like normal, he wanted to get through the slow rounds with as little damage as possible and then start winging overhands.
Honestly, I watched this fight and was happy to see more offensive variety and aggression out of Wlad than I have in years. I generally share some of your frustration with his overly cautious safety first style of the last decade (even though it makes him extremely hard to beat), but I actually though this fight was a step back in the right direction.
I think if Wlad fought prime Tyson it would be one fight where the Germans wouldn't opt for a white ring canvass, if only to preserve Wlad's dignity
Hey man wlad does what works for him.. It's not the prettiest, but he gets the job done regardless....
