But Cotto NEVER pushed for the fight, even after he wan't green anymore. He has stated this clearly.

Arum never pushed for the fight either. So all this nonsense of blaming Floyd for it not happening is BS, as it always have been.

Mayweather at least offered to fight him back in 2005. Cotto NEVER offered to fight Floyd AT ALL while under Arum.

when it comes down to it, Floyd will always be blamed for fights not happening because of how good he is and his undefeated record. ive been saying this for the longest. None of these guys can make a legit case for Floyd ducking Mosley or Cotto. maybe Margo but **** em hes a known cheat and floyd made the biggest money in his life fighting DLH instead.

    I really can't blame Cotto.

Cotto did what he had to do, beat who he had to beat and still has a very solid resume.

It's Arum and TR that get the blame to me. Leave smear campaigns to the ****ing politicians.

IMO the best time to have made Mayweather vs Cotto would have been in 2008 after Miguel beat Shane Mosley and Floyd beat Ricky Hatton.

Floyd waved at Cotto too in the audience. Must have been asking about that fight at 6:07

But didn't Floyd say in some FNF's segment that Cotto had to "get his pay per view numbers up" or something like that and about "Puerto Rico being too far from the U.S.?" It would have been hilarious if at the Puerto Rico presser, Cotto had asked Floyd if he had a good trip and that he was glad he could make it there.

Yeah more then likely.. Would have been nice if it happened in that time frame though. Floyd probably would have won and his resume would be a lot nicer right now.

Agreed. Cotto is a classy guy who isn't going to go calling people out.

You could say he put too much trust in Arum, but Cotto is a very wealthy man with a solid reputation in boxing. His plan has left him rich and loved.

He never pushed for any fights brainiac. Besides, how does one push for a fight w/ a retired fighter? When Floyd decided to 'retire' and let the top guys slug is out while he waits, is when it made the most sense. Two endefeated fighters at the top of their game. Read some articles for once, you'll see a common theme about Floyd vs. Cotto. It's 5 years too late.

There's nothing classy about not calling people out in boxing. This is the most confrontational sport.
