No order, but maybe I'll go through and arrange them later:

    Marciano (49-0, KO 43)'s top 10 wins
    Walcott I
    Walcott II
    Charles I
    Charles II
    Moore
    LaStarza II
    Louis
    Layne
    Cockell
    Matthews

    Wladimir (57-3, KO 50)'s top 10 wins
    Byrd I
    Byrd II
    Brewster II
    Chagaev
    Haye
    Ibragimov
    Chambers
    Brock
    Peter I
    Peter II

    What do you think?

I think Marciano's resume is much finer than Wladimir's.

Yup, top half is certainly more remarkable than Wlad's, which in turn is more impressive.

I'm doing this for the sake of the debate of weight between the two and their opponents. Next to the fight I list, I will type what the weight difference was relative to Marciano and Wladimir. My math may be off by 1 on a couple due to fractions. If it's within one pound, "even."

    Marciano (49-0, KO 43)'s top 10 wins
    Walcott I - outweighed by 12 pounds
Walcott II - outweighed by 13 pounds
    Charles I - 2 pound advantage
Charles II - outweighed by 5 pounds
    Moore - even
    LaStarza II - even
Louis - outweighed by 30 pounds
Layne - outweighed by 7 pounds
Cockell - outweighed by 16 pounds
    Matthews - 9 pound advantage

    Wladimir (57-3, KO 50)'s top 10 wins
    Byrd I - 24 pound advantage
Byrd II - 28 pound advantage
Brewster II - 15 pound advantage
    Chagaev - 15 pound advantage
    Haye - 32 pound advantage
    Ibragimov - 19 pound advantage
    Chambers - 35 pound advantage
    Brock - 17 pound advantage
    Peter I - even
Peter II - 5 pound advantage

So, gents, what observations do we have about the weights?

    Holyfield dumps on them both.

No order: Qawi (x2), Tyson (x2), Bowe, Foreman (who regained the title three years later), Holmes (off a UD of Mercer), Mercer, Dokes, Moorer.

I still feel you can't fault Marciano for what he did. And he took a lot of punishment with that style, hence the 6 title defenses.

Qawi was at cruiserweight, so there goes 2 of the best wins amongst that list of 10.

Holmes and Foreman can be compared to the Joe Louis win Marciano has. Except ancient Louis didn't win rounds off Rocky like Foreman did from Holyfield.

The Tyson wins can be dismissed as easily as the Ezzard Charles wins often are for Marciano for the sake of age, recent outings, motivation, and what they went on to do.

The Bowe win is sandwiched between two more decisive loses to him and his Moorer win came after the upset loss which made Moorer a "great win" in the first place.

I'd still take Marciano's over Holyfield. And that isn't counting the defeats Holyfield accumulated, which takes away from his glory just the same as victory adds to it.

Sorry fella's, I know there are a lot of Kbros fans on here but Marciano ranks higher than Wlad, refer Nonito top 10 Opp. However, I do not rank fighters until they have hung up their gloves, so the jury is still out.

So was Marciano? Lets be historically fair.

No, it cant. Louis never fought again. Foreman won the the title three years afterward.

No, they cant. Tyson was a 15-1 favorite to take care of Holyfield, who was four years Tyson's senior and had far more turmoil regarding his health.

So what? Holyfield was woefully outsized by an extremely talented superheavyweight in his prime. Marciano never defeated a fighter with that combination of size and skill.

    K.

Qawi were great wins because he was also a CW so you cannot easily dismiss them. from what I can remember (or at least what I heard . . . before my time) is that Joe kept it close and won quite a few rounds before he got stopped. The Holyman fought most of his top ten in there Prime as a opposed to the Rock who's foes where past their due date. Resume wise I have it Holyman>Rock>>Wlad.

Wlad has not even fought all of the "best" (and I use that word with great reservation, because the opposition is so limited) of this era. Him and big bro have divided up the division to face the fighters that play to their strengths . . . i think they both beat everyone easily but style wise some could give them trouble

Holyfield's losses are the result of fighting in arguably the division's second strongest era in history and not ducking anybody. **** even Ali dropped a couple to Frazier and Norton.

Bowe win doesnt count because it was sandwiched. Are you ****ing kidding me. A 20+ lb weight difference against a fighter of Bowe's talents and abilities. :rofl

in a p4p sense marciano beat wlad. but put it like it is, marciano is an light heavyweight physicly compared to wlad, simply unfair to compare. its like chad dawson beats sugar ray leonard.
