You are definately under-rating Miguel Acosta, Urbano Antillon and John Murray when you say Rios only fights small men who can't hurt him. For a start, Rios was visibly hurt in the Acosta fight. I'll agree his power may not have the same effect moving up in weight, but that depends on how he conditions himself. If he moves up and simply loses less weight before fights he will be flabby and his power will reduce naturally.
If the contract isn't in place it could mean 1 of 3 things 1. Top Rank are being unprofessional 2. Top Rank are trying to sneak in a low ball payday after arranging the fight, expecting Gamboa to sign to a low fee and skim off the top 3. Gamboa's Top Rank contract has come to an end, he demanded a big payday to re-sign and before getting a contract has had Mayweather and Golden Boy whispering in his ear

It's not number 3. From what i've read, he has 2 years left on his contract. 1.1M is not a low fee though.

His punches are more crisp , precise , and way better combinations. All while being just as fast (hands) as anybody out there right now. He throws every punch out there. Amazing hands. Doesn't mean anything unless he can do that to the best of the best.

I'm reading into this news, stuff I didn't know TR and Arena were told days ago that Gamboa wasn't going to the conference. I'll keep digging into this matter , still a lit pissed with gamboa but things are turning to other direction
Bottom line. Brandon is not that good. He has a lot of heart and a warrior fight in him that is refreshing to watch. Gamboa has a lot more skill than him. Gamboa throws better punches than him , and is so much faster than him. Brandon may find himself chasing Gamboa around all night trying to catch up while Gamboa bombs away then gets outta the way. Ala it will look like Pac vs Margarito.
