Alton Colter (late)....and Edmundo Esparza (early)

The former, a ten round decision, was before Harada did so well against Famechon the first time.

You would be surprised to see how criticized he was during his reign......

I was a fan of his style pre-Corrales, that ko against Alexandrov was nice,no doubt, but I was never a big fan to be honest.........would love to see him against Castillo though.....

Never liked him outside of the Ring though...always saying he was better than Jofre, kind of an annoying guy....

Yes..Every brazilian will agree with you actually.....
That porto-rican trainer tried to add some new moves to his style, but didn´t work too well.....

I'd love to see a report of the Esparza fight, anyone know anything about it? Medel beat him by ko in Japan, no arguments! Esparza beat him on points, in Japan, that's some feat.

Al....You asked me once about what the brazilians newspapers said on Jofre vs Elias in 65.....the draw......

Here is some info (in portuguese):good :

    http://acervo.folha.com.br/resultados?q=eder+jofre+elias&site=&periodo=acervo

Well, basically it says that Eder´s manager Arthur KAtezenelson was very angry with the final decision...saying that there wasn´t explanations for the draw.....

The president of the São Paulo Boxing Federation then said that doesn´t matter who you are, you will win only if you deserve to..etc......
And it says, also...that Manny Elias was satisfied with the final result....

Anyway, it was a consensus that Eder wasn´t in a good night....and lost some rounds, especially at the end of the bout.....

:good It´s pretty detailed about the 4 rounds.....another body punching clinic apparently.......
For the topic...Some of those draws are detailed too (vs Miranda, vs Cáceres I), none of them sounds controversial actually.....but, I never saw others reports, so it´s hard to say what was the consensus.....
I will translate this for a thread sometime here.....

The report......but I tell you something....I have a feeling that there is more footage this year....;)
