I find it hard to believe that a promotional company that has been doing business for years, would line up press conferences and venues purely on verbal agreement. In my opinion Gamboa signed and is now realizing the hype for the fight and wants a bigger cut. If he did in fact sign, well too bad Gamboa. Fight this man and don't SIGN a contract knowing that it is "bogus."
The REAL coward is Rios who is killing himself to fight little men... stop pretending you're a 135lb fighter trying to fight 125lb fighters. The real ***** here is Rios.
:| - If both fighters make the weight, it is what it is. Plenty of legends have their best wins against smaller fighters. - If its too much for Gamboa, he shouldnt have asked for the fight - If it was too much for Gamboa, he should have backed out before it got this far - If it was too much for Gamboa, he should have made that known from the start. Rios is taking a fight that was offered to him from one of the most talented fighters in the world today and a decent payday to boot. Ya, hes a ***** for not turning down a fight he was offered.
Seriously, Rios has such a huge advantage in this fight. Gamboa is moving up two divisions to fight Rios. And Rios can barely make weight anyway. Gamboa will be fighting a guy at least three divisions up. I want to see the fight anyway, but for Rios to call someone much smaller than him a ***** is laughable.
Thats what happens when you lead a fight on and let it get to the point where the other guy is flying out to your home town to start the press con and youre not even there. Getting called a ***** comes with the territory.
im thinking they r trying to make rios look like this invincible force. gamboa aint happy with his promoters and they know it
Nice try Gamboa fans. Man up, your boy ****ed up, let him know it. Rios isn't the enemy here, Gamboa the ***** is.
