I agree the Rios fight took a bit out of him but if you watched Acosta vs Abril you'd see that Abril beat him with greater ease than anyone yet (disregard 2 of the shitty scoredcards) and only 8 months after Rios so he wasn't too far removed from good form to the point you can write off his performance. A lot of people feel Abril was robbed vs Prescott and I didn't see the Lundy loss but it was also a split decision in the US for Lundy so that could be questionable as well. Dude is a good fighter a level higher than Murray and Gesta. I'd rather see Rios vs Vazquez tho

I don't give a **** how "good" Abril is. I wanted to see a good fight in Rios vs Gamboa. I'm sorry, I spent significant $$ to see Rios vs Gamboa, not Rios vs Abril.

obviously no compensation for Gamboa but this is boxing dude, you haven't been arond too long if you're surprised by **** like this. no ticket is a guarantee in the fight business, too much **** can go wrong from contracts to injuries and if the fight don't go down we can at least hope for a decent replacement. I'd be pissed if I forked out $$ though but I'm sure you'll get a refund. i had a feelin this fight was too good and too risky to be true.

i would understand abril wants rios, but he needs to understand also that rios fought too many tomato cans already, no more tomato cans for him...abril needs to find other prospects that needs more tomato cans in their resume...

Anyone got the snap depicting Rios holding a framed picture of Gamboa taking a standing 8 count?

He is holding it the wrong way up. Thanosone may have a point.

I have to say this has caught me off guard.

I was a big Gamboa fan. And despised Rois as a fighter and human being.

But now after seeing this my thoughts are this.

Gamboa has made me think he is not as great as advertised in the sense that he has decided to take advice from Floyd Mayweather a person out of the Ring and around the sport as a ****ing Idiot.

Now Gamboa decided to seek out Mayweather rather than show for his own fight. This for me is unheard of and so Unprofessional that I now dislike Gamboa who I loved and drove my Hate towards Mayweather even more.

Rios however i always thought of as a Punk but now he turned up and when he was dissed like that he said exactly what i as a Fan wanted to Here.

So Brandon Rois Fans you can count me in Now and from now on im a Rios fan.

I find it both pathetic and humourous that you blame Mayweather for Gamboa's actions, is Gamboa not a grown man? Furthermore when has Floyd ever done anything like this? Gamboa's has provided his reasoning, why would you disregard what he says and accept something some *** here made up and posted?

well no **** sherlock acosta looked like absolute ****, he was flopping around the ring and was disheartened, he didn't let go of his punches like he did against rios.

if a fighter is injured the fight is usually postponed.

Yeah, ultimately, the decision is down to Gamboa and all blame lays on him. But Floyd's still a **** if he played a role in blocking this fight from happening.
