damn straight he would. Louis had it all and a heart bigger than both klits put together. he was born to fight unlike the Klits who were born to be highly educated yet were given such physical gifts that fighting was an obvious choice to learn.
Pound for pound I believe Louis could beat any Hwt champ in hist. Carnera, Baer, and most of Louis' opponent would have been Koed by both Klitzs. There is a huge difference in size and it is hard to image, Louis as great as he was over coming that difference.
If the K bros were born the same year Joe was and had the same nutrition and training techniques, the K bros would be a whole lot less impressive than they are now. Even still, I'd favor Louis to stop both of them, especially Wladimir easily.
all other things equal, Joe is actually much faster and more accurate and much more skillful than the Klits. He gives away massive body weight advantage however, which makes it a tough matchup for him. If you shrunk the primest form Klits down to Joes size then he would KO them early, both, and retire them. Mind you, if the Klits were Joes size then they would never win world titles in any era and we wouldnt be making this comparison.
And if we shrunk Shaquille O'Neal to Michael Jordan's size he'd he a jobless janitor instead of a MVP. Oh boy this discussion is so dumb.
If Wlad was Joe's size, he would be a speedster. Actually, he's probably lighter on feet than Louis even at 245. Anyway, i'd give the edge to Louis. But they're both full fledged heavy, so all this p4p story makes no sense at all. If anyone thinks Wlad is better, fine (even i think the opposite, head to head and obviously in terms of accomplishments ), and there's no some mysterious weight coefficient to introduce.
True. Regardless of your opinion on W+V, you can't just dismiss the size difference as a non-factor. Louis beat some huge men, but no-one on the same level as either Klitschko. On the other hand, Louis had a similar frame (although slightly lighter most of his career) to the likes of Byrd, Chambers and Haye. One of whom beat Vitali, and the other two were at least competitive against Wlad. When you think of how vulnerable Wlad (and to a lesser extent Vitali) looked against an old, flabby Sanders, you'd have to fancy the chances of the guy with arguably the best handspeed/power combo in heavyweight history. As often with mythical match-ups it's difficult to call as neither met anyone with comparable attributes/skillset to the other. Louis never fought a Klitschko-level big man, and the Klits never fought a puncher with Louis' speed, power and accuracy. Haye and Sanders come closest, but they can't seriously be compared.
Both Klitchkos would put Louis in a Reyes glove and punch a wall! The edge in overall athletic size is enough to make the match up ******ed. And that is from a guy who appreciates Louis as one of the greatest heavyweights of all time (resume wise) whereas I can't bare to watch a Klitschko fight. It's called evolution and Louis was too slow on his feet to do jack **** with either of them. The End!
Joe Louis is without a doubt one of the greatest heavyweights who ever lived, but I don't see him being able to beat big talented guys like the Klitschko bros or Lennox Lewis. He would have always had a chance with Wladimir or Lennox due to their shaky chins, but I don't see his chin holding up to their rights hands.
Wlad Vs 207lbs Joe Louis (last fight of his athletic prime)= Mismatch due to size difference Wlad Vs 210lbs David Haye = Defining win of Wlad's career All makes perfect sense....:think
